Sorry if I restated anything, but I really dislike getting drawn into reading 12 pages of crap to make sure I don't say something someone already said. At least that shows someone here has a little common sense.

You're right, and I'm done with it. I informed Odon in another forum that if he insults me again he'll get his ass reported. So I'm excercising restraint and keeping my eyes off anything further that he says to me because I don't want to be responsible for having anyone kicked off the site.

 

Odon is a good respectful member of the community.

Well Pahana, unless a forum has a strict policy about flaming other members, name calling, spam and such - you sorta hang your meat out there when you speak your opinion on the Intranet (mis-spelled for empahsis). It's a sad state of things, but it's the way it is for the most part.

I tried to chat in a Yahoo room for ADOPTION discussion for gods sake, and there was nothing but sex talk, and flaming. Go figure. Just note where you're at and how that forum enforces the 'rules', or not. May come to no good to complain about someone who insults you...it's all subjective in some forums.

I am a moderator and a long time member of a Sims forum (Neighborhood99) and the owner insists on playing nice. Thank GOD! You wouldn't think there would be so much potential drama in a gaming forum so benign as The Sims, but there is. It's really nice when forums actually enforce the rules they make you agree to.

 

Actually, there WAS no argument. There was just an unsolicited insult. Your next point?

 

It's funny. How a hippie forum could burst into mindless arguing about nothing. Does all of this really matter? If we can't really do much about it but talk about it then you know your only wasting your energy. Sounds like a long ass stoner moment from a neutral perspective. Lets all just smoke some bud and forget about all of this bickering over nothing. Because this doesn't matter in the end.

A mass of people who blindly follow.


Would you be willing to partake in that.

If people didn't ask questions, there would be nobody to challenge anyone when they step out of line.


You would think that would be ridiculously convenient to a certain group of people.
