I just thought of this. Do you? Would you like to? It's an experience to be sure! I would not put it on my "bucket" list though!
Well it would mean I lost my natural teeth... So I'd rather keep those. But if I had no teeth? Fuck yeah I'd take the false ones. I don't want to eat only mashed potatoes the rest of my life.
I've never worn braces or had cavities. The only dental work I've ever had done was in the army; I had a wisdom tooth pulled because it was biting into my cheek. I'm definitely in the minority where I live (Kentucky). I probably have three times as many teeth as the average yokel.
When I was a kid, I envied my grandma's friend who had false teeth. No need to brush. All she needed to do was take her teeth out, and place them in a jar of cleaning solution. But she kept telling me "No, you don't want false teeth! Keep your real ones healthy."
It is one of the pros for sure! Also, you don't have to worry about having a toothache or having one pulled! But yeah if you can keep your real ones intact....that is good!
Reminds me of my mate paddy when asked if he would shag a woman with red hair , Paddy said " i would shag her if she was bald " !!
I recently had a molar pulled and now I must decide whether it's worth it to replace it somehow. or I could just let them go in the future and gum my food... At some point as we get older we must decide what's worth fixing and what you can live with for a few more years... Of course interchangeable human parts are on the horizon...
I have a tiny chip in one of my front two teeth (I'd have to check which one to tell you left or right) and man it bugs me. I don't like to smile as much. It's because of that stupid labret piercing I used to have. *(person pictured isn't me) I caught the backing in my teeth I don't know how many times before I chipped it, and even then it took some time for me to figure out I oughta get it out of there. Lol. How stupid. I've had the chip fixed wrong before. Went to the dentist and they offered to fix it. It made my bite weird and part of it has fallen out. I think some of their repair work is still in there however and probably making my smile look at least partially ok. Man I wish that hadn't happened.
In school we learned that George Washington had wooden false teeth, but that was a lie to cover up a horrible and terrible secret. In fact they were made from teeth that were pulled from his slaves.
I've just gone through 5 sessions of teeth restoration as I had not been to the dentist in 5 years they had to drill and reshape some of my natural cavities and I find it all more difficult now. All corners of my teeth are super sensitive to cold and heat, I can't chow down on a handfull of cashews like I used to, even jerky and other jelly snakes can hurt them.. I also had them cleaned and that hurt, I thought they'd brush them but noooo was like a fishing hook scraping. Although though look and feel amazing, they're left sensitive too. It's been 2 months for some teeth and I still have pains. I hope it goes away one day.
