what about hot dogs? or bolongna? or those little coctail weiners? technically its not meat, some other type of substance What can you classify hot dogs as? im confused, can a veggie eat a hot dog?
Last i remember hotdogs are at least supposed to have meat in them, so i doubt even a pescatarian could pull off eating a hot dog.
hot dogs are meat, they're made from meat, the fact that they put loads of other crap into them doesn't make them any less meat... It's like saying, do vegetarians eat hamburgers? NO!
Hot dogs are meat, but it's the leftover parts that would normally gross out most meat eaters. But some people just don't pay attention to what they're putting in their bodies. They just scarf down their low-grade mystery meat Chalupas or their bologna sandwiches. I think if we actually paid attention to what we are ingesting, then you'd probably see a lot less meat eaters. But that's just my personal thought on the matter. Now if you'll excuse me, I need to put some ice in my Coca~Cola©.
You can't eat a hot dog and be a veggie. May as well say - only eating the tip of the cow's tail, not it's body or anything.
all they do is grind up the nasty meat waste shit and then pack in to hotdogs and then familys some how seemt o enjot them i dont know how its possible? dont eat that shit
yeah hot dogs are pretty gross, i used to have a really cool vegan shirt that had all the ingredients on it. it grossed people out
Meat is meat, no matter how disturbingly mutilated it is. If a food product has even a trace of meat in it is not vegetarian. This post reminds me of a time when I tried out some veggie hotdogs. They were so similar to those cheap ordinary meat hotdogs it was truly disturbing. Just goes to show how processed those things are. TTFN Sage
My husband loves bologna. Eww. list of ingredients: mechanically separated turkey, pork, water, modified food starch, salt corn syrup, flavorings, less than 2% beef, sodium phosphates, sodium erthyorbate, sodium nitrite, extractives of paprika. I don't know about anyone else, but water is the only ingredient that I would consume of my own free will.
Yeah I'm with you. Many many years ago I stopped eating really processed sandwich meat, ham in particular. Even for a [then] omni it was just too gross. TTFN Sage
And yet with some onions and mustard it goes down quite well! By jove, I was in a tavern in Eastcheap one eve' and some bawdy drunkard looked up from his many empty flagons of ale and pile of ash from his many tobacco related products and informed me that my ye olde hot doge would kill me! I ate it a lot quicker after that.
yeah i agree its meat, but i'm sure over here (uk) a hot dog is just a big sausage in a bread roll, or have i been lied to all these years s
Mechanically stripped meat is verboten in the US now with the BSE regs! I do like Boca's brats as a mock andoullie in beans and rice, and since I get some strange textures with squishing tofu for "tofu salad", the textures don't bother me much. However most "dogs" and sausages are ... odd. and what exactly would an extractive of paprika be? something like my pepper oil pest spray for the garden? pepper spray as mace?
