I have lived with a completey, unfunctioning psychotic person my whole life. I been around thought loops since I was a baby. I have also shared psychedelic experiences with others who are clinically psychotic. You gotta gain a little understanding of psychotic people before you reject them free will. They trip just as we do. Some people on these boards really piss me off. Dont beleive everything you read on the internet. Take advice from people who have BEEN THERE BEFORE... that wasnt directed at you, writer.
well i just don't see how tripping can help schezophrenia. if it can only potentially harm Sam's friend, Sam has a legitimate concern.
Set and setting. Its like your not gonna try to give acid to a psychotic person who is having a manic eppisode. The psychotic person understands these cycles just like we understand when we are feeling down. Not for all cases though, some people are just completely bat shit crazy. But that chances that you know someone who is THAT crazy IRL are really slim
I would not give him with LSD, but I also wouldn't argue and tell him he is going to have a bad trip, or that he is going to get even more fucked up in the head. I wouldn't even tell him its a bad idea. I would simply explain to him what I know about maintaining a positive trip, and the importance of dose, mindset, and setting. Maybe provide him with any studies that may help him decide.
That sounds like a pretty good idea. And to whoever said i was arrogant I'm not claiming to know shit/. It just sounds like a bad idea to me, and I'm concirned about my friend.
