is there any metal pipes out there that you don't need a screen for? I know you all say go with glass, but i'm always dropping my bowl so glass is out. there is a head shop in grand rapids I always go too, planning on going there when I'm down there for thanksgiving. trying to see if they have a website.

I found this pipe looks pretty sweet small easy to clean

After you've smoked out of it a few times the resin in the bowl should hold the screen in place.

well I just cleaned my bowl maybe that's why. the screens I have are small metal ones and I'm not to impressed with them. I know when I have a packed bowl and been smoking off that or it gets clogged I take a knife and kind of scraped it out so it's not so clogged maybe when I do that it makes the screen lose so it falls out?

A monkey pipe doesn't need a screen, plus it's really compact. You can fill it with weed, then close the lid and carry it in your pocket or purse. It's available in wood or metal and sells at most head shops where the going rate is $20.

You can try a larger screen. When I used to use metal pipes I never had any issue with screens Falling out. In fact it was sometimes difficult to remove when cleaning the pipe or replacing the screen. The screen shouldn't lay flat inside the bowl, you should have to press it down inside the bowl and the screen forms a bowl shape itself and essentially locks itself in place.

The monkey pipe comes apart to make it easy to clean. I don't know about the monkey pipe trail, I've never tried one.

I usually use larger screens but my dad was the one who picked them up for me. I do press down like you had said when I'm in Grand Rapids at the head shop I will see what kind of stuff they have

Depending on the size of the bowl hole: I use a screw.
Covers most of the hole with enough to pull air through.
Taps out with every bowl. Pick it from the ass-tray with a magnet

The screens used in faucet aerators are usually the perfect size. No need to go to a head shop, any hardware store should carry them for cheap. Or just Rob a faucet.
