Why does everything in the world always about evil and darkness. Although I do not have TV, I have Netflix to watch on computer and almost everything on there is either crime, Jail or horror. Is that the kind of programming the majority watch? So, whats up with the world with their fascination of evil. Funny and some/if not most think it is harmless. That is what Satan wants you to believe. Harmless fun..just a time for tubby timmie and chubby charly to continue to feed their diabetes with Trick or Treat candy. You can guarantee I wont be giving out no candy. My house will be dark. I don't want any devils at my door.

Better turn on some lights then... They thrive in the dark.

Did you know that Satan's creed says every time you so much as think on his name, let alone speak it or type it, that's considered an invocation?

    You've done it now.

I don't consider Halloween to be evil and dark. I know this is not a widely held interpretation, but part of it to me is about not being scared of monsters or death or tax returns.

Isn't making fun of people with diabetes a tad more evil than Netflix's programming?

Violence reflects the world in which we live. Humans seem to love gore, blood and guts. Thousands and thousands of years of existence/evolution and humans still can't get past it. Halloween is a little ridiculous , I suppose-- so is christmas, but these momentary spasms of 'escape' from a cruel world makes the kids happy. So give the little buggers some tooth-shortner--they won't hurt 'ya.

I guess OP was trying to strikingly illustrate what's wrong with Halloween: (over)indulging in candy while watching movies with dark themes. He might have some point if his argument focussed solely on the sugar intake of tubby Timmy and Chubby Charlie. Now not so much imo. He's entitled to his own opinion, taste and dislikes of course. .. but that's all i see. Oh yeah and a belief in that evil is a real supernatural force and not a human concept. Also not an issue on itself.

you don't really watch the scary movies while eating halloween candy. you get the candy at the end of the season, so you're really watching christmas movies when you eat it.

Whats wrong with watching monster movies and binging on a little candy anyway?

There are worse things to do with one's time than eat some Twix while watching The Bride of Frankenstein.

I can’t imagine any well balanced individual having a problem with Halloween.

Didn’t you go trick or treating as a kid?

It’s just fun, carving the pumpkins, dressing up, decorating the house, horror movies, handing out candy, watching It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown,
Caramel and Candied apples, and it’s the only time of the year you can eat candy corns with a straight face.
