i hate walmart

Walmart does some very good things - like what they did during Katrina

they also do some pretty poor things - and i don't consider the cheap products they ahve to be one of them

but yea, they can have cheap food...but livign in boston, i can shop around and find cheaper

I asked because people bang on about supermarkets being unethical...and don't seem to care about what their local store does.
I'll tell you want my local store does: Steal shit from the charity shop next door (when people have left bits and pieces outside) and sells out of date food...bad sports all round, really.

I like how people say "I hate WalMart, but...." If you really had such a deep hate for the place, you WOULD go elsewhere.

I LOVE WalMart. When it's 3 am and I am bored, Alexis and I pack up and go to WalMart! They're reasonable on clothes, groceries, and pretty much anything else I need. So, I see nothing to hate.

Maysville. Right on the river. Well, close to Maysville, but probably never heard of my tiny town. Up I'd say about 3 hours from your parts.

just how much do you know about wal-mart besides the fact that you can buy 100 lbs of cat litter a boar's head and 5 small children for under $20?

 

Wal-mart sells goods cheap, which saves you money, which in turn you can use to spend at any mom and pop shop you like if that's your prerogative...

Oh. My. Goodness. If only!!! I drop about that amount every other day at the grocery store. And the way my kids tear through food, it's gone before you know it!

Another reason I can't wait for my veggies to all start coming in!

 

keep expanding that garden, you will be amazed how much you can grow in a small area. the folks at www.pathtofreedom.com grow 6000 pounds of fruit and veggies annually on 1/10 of a acre.

our monthly grocery list pretty much consists of,

25 pounds of flour
10 pounds of sugar
2 things of coffee
4 things of tea
quart of oil
10 pound bag of rice
maybe some sort of beans if they are on sale
sometimes some spices
and a pack or two of cheap red meat if there is any on sale.

thats it. the rest we grow or raise.
