If you're good, you can make decent money off of Etsy.
But mostly...no.

To everyone who is asking about making money on my etsy shop, I actually just made $30 today. People must be looking for last minute Halloween costume accessories. I just sold my last replica of the pendant Anakin gave to Padme in Star Wars: The Phantom Menace. It's not much but the materials have already paid for themselves and now I have some extra cash.

Of course. But I'm kind of in a crappy situation here, and we're moving in less than a year so my boyfriend and I don't have to deal with his alcoholic mother anymore and we need all the money we can get. I figured it'd be better to start when we get the new place.

 

School's not always an option. Sometimes you have situations you have to work through to be able to afford time or money for school. I definitely understand where you're at, nobody wants to be looked down upon because they don't have that piece of paper that unlocks so many doors, but it's not always an immediate option. I think saving what you can for now while keeping an eye out for employment is a great way to start. Don't let anyone make you think otherwise, as long as you're working to better your situation, it's really no one's business (nor is it relevant to this thread) how you are doing it.
