The majority of the time food seems disgusting. Once I get dizzy I decide to eat something & then I feel nauseous & my stomach hurts. Anybody else feel like this or know why?? >.<
There could be any number of reasons why. Do you have any history with bad food experiences, or have you felt this way for all of your life?
Not all my life its gotten worse over the last 2 years. It started with just meat & its become all food that seems gross now.
Ive an aversion to the smell of cooking food. it grosses me out big time. I have to step outside when cooking.. I open the kitchen door outside and stand there.. others use the kitchen it makes me want to uke: I really like to cooks all my food at one time in the week.. like a dozen chicken strips, mashed potatoes .. I would much rather toss this shit on the grill outside and come back later.. baked potatoes are fine by me.. i need to eat tho.. I like much fruits and veggies. but I do get tired and sick of eating..
Could be a subconscious thing relating to anorexia. I am not saying you're anorexic, but often anorexics will develop physiological symptoms relating to food. They will often look at food as something that is "disgusting."
I noticed the smell is a big factor. This sounds weird but I also just kind of feel bad for eating another living being >.< makes me feel selfish
I've thought about that because I know I'm starting to come off as anorexic. I wouldn't mind gaining weight but I don't mind being very thin as well. I dunno lol
too bad I can't make you a pot of my spaghetti...you would not be eating any dead animals with that..... I don't know. I hope you will eat enough to sustain you for a long happy heathy life.
Seeing a doctor about this is probably a good idea. There may be some good home remedies for this though. I recommend making some well-cooked brown rice with cardamon and fennel seed. You can add orange peel to this too, but you might have to buy it at an herb shop or otherwise make sure that the peel is clean of pesticide. Some dry-fried bell pepper and black pepper might be good too. Also foods like kidney bean or ginger. In general, I recommend eating only cooked foods served warm and drinking only warm liquids. Dairy, too much salt, tofu, egg and sugar are bad. Acupuncture and chinese herbal medicine might help you. This can be expensive though, so you might want to find a student clinic or other affordably priced provider.
I just saw a picture that you posted of yourself on another thread. It appears that you are wearing an upside down cross. My opinion is that you would be better off getting rid of this and any similar items, as they tend to invite negative energy into your life.
i'm the opposite. the majority of the time food seems amazing. once i get starvy i eat until i'm dizzy, nauseous and my stomach hurts.
Low blood sugar will make you feel nauseated and though you really need to eat, it feels like the last thing you want to do. Start with some juice to bring your blood sugar back up and eat when you feel better. Don't wait so long between eating so your blood sugar doesn't get low like that.
you should see a doctor. It could be a number of things - an unhealthy lifestyle, anxiety, something psychological related to developing anorexia. I used to have issues with my appetite but even when I'm not hungry I can always force down some light, healthy fare like veggies and fruit. What is your diet like? If you mostly eat heavy, unhealthy food your lack of appetite may be your body's way of telling you not to eat it. If meat grosses you out have you considered trying a vegetarian diet?
Sometimes food problems can develop co-morbidly with anxiety or depression. It isn't uncommon for this type of behavior to begin around age 18, in females. I wouldn't "force" yourself to eat, which might make eating more aversive, especially if you have to smell or eat the foods that you have forced down in the past. I might speak to a counselor about this. A few sessions might be enough to identify your problem and find a few solutions that will work for you and that you can practice on your own.
maybe try some smoothies.. here are a few good ones. http://www.californiaavocado.com/blog/drink-avocados-4-breakfast-smoothie-recipes/
You might have Meniere's.. Do you have ringing in one or both ears? There is no blood or urine test, just a recognized set of symptoms.
Im sorry this is happening to you.... The reason food seems disgusting is because THE GOVT IN THIS COUNTRY IS DESTROYING OUR FOOD!!!! -- Making companies LOWER THE SODIUM AND SUGAR resulting in crap taste!!!!!!!! I feel the same way you do my friend!!!! -- ITS GETTING HARD TO FIND ANYTHING I LIKE,ITS ALL GARBAGE NOW!!!!!!!!!!
Um, no, it's because anything you buy that has been manufactured in a factory is not real food. And most of the junk food on the market today is loaded with sugar or refined salt. A lot of processed food is marketed as "low fat," and food truly does taste like crap when the fat has been removed from it. In place of that fat has been a shitload of refined carbohydrates coming mostly from sugar, which has proven to be perhaps the number one culprit in the obesity epidemic. So if stuff on the shelves tastes like crap, it's probably more likely because it is low in fat and not low in sugar or sodium (unless stated on the package). Most of it, however, is loaded in hydrogenated omega-6 polyunsaturated fats, as well as refined sugar and flour. So it's not only high in fat as well as sugar, but the often the worst kind of fats. Fats coming from hydrogenated oils are perhaps second in line next to sugar in making people sick. Wheat is the close third.
Yes but not like it used to be.....Alot of stuff I USED TO LOVE,now tastes like crap and I cannot tweak it because the type of sugar they used is different than what I have. (Table sugar/salt) and it tastes funny adding that kind to it... Some stuff I CAN TWEAK,but not everything........
