I've always thought Cops was a stupid show.. especially this one episode I saw. A woman had been smoking, she had a roach, they staked her out and called in like 5 other cops to chase the woman down for her roach.. that show is nothing but a program for cops to try to show off how they "crack down like a whip". Now in real life, not all cops are like that. Cops don't have to arrest you when they catch you with drugs, and sometimes, especially with things like marijuana, a cop will let you go if you don't act like an asshole (as other posters have said). Acid would be harder to get away with, but if you have a tab or two, and don't act like a complete asshole trying to fool the cop like he's retarded you may get away.. save your "fuck da police" lines for when you're chilling with home boy.
ive seen some cool cops on the show,. Chasing down someone that has a joint and no license then cop tells suspect there are probably 100 people driving by with weed and no license only youre stupid ass wants to kill people to get away with it..
I seriously don't see why psychadelics are treated as worse than weed by government and police. It is pretty different in Canada I think, because you pretty much just get a warning for weed possession. But I don't know why it is different for psychadelics, I mean they aren't wrecking society. I guess this post is a result of not knowing what my point is but typing it out anyways.
 I guess I was generalizing the cops on the show even if I was trying to dispel myths about cops.. For one thing, psychedelics have a much higher crime classification in both Canada and the USA. For another thing, psychedelics have much more myth surrounding them than cannabis does.. cannabis is becoming more accepted within society, but most people will still consider you to be a whack-job if they don't really know you and find out you're a tripper. Also, it seems like a lot of people consider psychedelics to be more of a reason to act out.. "I'm TRIPPING SO HARD DUDE, NOTHING MATTERS, LEMME HIT THIS COP IN THE FAAAAACE".. one day more cops will be tossing your mushrooms on the side of the road instead of arresting you
I know all this. I am wondering how this happened? Like it shouldn't have so much more weight that weed. People shouldn't be so scared, and programs in school shouldn't teach that psychedelics are so bad. I seriously believe that there is nothing wrong with these drugs if people know everything they can about them and respect them before they do them.
I dont remember my school ever telling me psychedelics were bad. There was pot talk, ecstasy, coke, heroin and meth stuff, but the curriculum never said much about mushrooms, and even less about LSD.
any kid with a computer and common sense can tell that their parents and law enforcement is lying about drugs .. cant be having people like Ice Cube, or other celebrities Tim Allen moving drugs to become famous and then all the sudden they are santa clause Susy homemaker .. and you go to jail for a joint.. fuck that!!... drug war is a big put on..
The one with the old woman with white hair, caught with a meth pipe and her car smelled like herb, right?
School actually taught me that psychedelic drugs were decent.. in Grade 6 I had to do a project about a drug like everyone else in the class. I chose to do mushrooms, and lo and behold I found out that mushrooms were not physically addictive, and I found lots of info about the good experiences people had with mushrooms! I shuppose I should go back and thank my Grade 6 teacher.. :mickey: We all need a scape goat to send our hate to.. even the LSD users.. and in this case we'll all get on the hate train destined for the man who takes our LSD away. :sultan:
I had the same experience when i was in junior high, we had to do a prject and presentation. I had to do one on LSD and mushrooms. It lead to me finding out there wasn't that many dangers with them. It even lead to a discussion with my father about psychedelics and that they weren't bad. But I do remember in class being taught that shrooms and acid make your brain bleed and they made flashbacks sound like they happen all the time and every time and that they were way worse than they are (at least on shrooms I have never done acid).
Re: cops Remember the police can only enforce laws passed by the legislative branch of whatever country/state/province/county/town you live in.
True, but cops can be dirty and corrupt. They don't always operate within the limits of the law. That is my biggest problem with cops, abuse of power. I have never encountered it personally, but we all know it happens.
