Always wanted to go to California. I grew up in New Jersey, so Cali always seemed like 'that place' where cool shit happens. The west coast always seemed more glamorous and fun.

Yeah, I'll get there one day.

there is good pussy in every state. if you like latina women, then you will like california.

you are gonna find out that it is not what you think. it should not be much more exciting than jersey. unless you are real into hollywood and all that media crap that goes on there.

and growing up in the west coast my whole life I'd love to visit the east coast. the east cost seems way more interesting to me. the towns looks a lot nicer back there. I'd love to visit both boston and new york.

yep :D that sounds right. I visit family in akron ohio sometimes. I like the midwest it seems chill. I like the woods and I think seasons seem like fun since where I live in cali it is summer time year round.

here in southern california it can be 100 degrees in december.

I'm with broony with 4 distinct seasons. Back when I was working at The Campground my favorite times of the year were Spring, Fall and Winter. Spring cuz it was getting warmer and the days were getting longer. Fall cuz I like the different colors of the leaves. Plus we would be closing the 2 pools we had for the winter and that's when I always took my vacation, the 2nd weekend of October when no one else wanted time off. Barter Faire was/is my thang. I'd take 7 or 8 days off and come back all relaxed and way too mellow.....

Winter was a favorite time after the last of the Snowbirds left. We had a year round winter population of about 800. Salt of the Earth types. Folks that had lived long enuf to know what to do when winter snow or wind storms knocked out the power for 4 to 18 hours or so. They were already fat with cured dry firewood, their gensets were ready and prefueled with 20 or 30 gallons of emergency gas on hand. Fully stocked larders, snow tires on their trucks and freshly tuned up. Plenty of propane on hand and chainsaws ready to go. These were NOT city people but mainly country folks who knew how to work together or help out their neighbors who always seemed to be woefully unprepared despite being counseled by the Rangers or Maintenance employees over and over and over again.

I sometimes would chuckle to myself as I walked away from a site to my work truck after having just advised a Member the PROPER METHOD to winterize his hydrant or standpipe setup. With the proper materials on hand and a razor knife and ten minutes you were done. You would be surprised at how many well off/rich folks would pull out their cheapskate card and try to improvise or just FLAT IGNORE MAINTENANCE RECOMMENDATIONS only to have their water systems freeze up or suffer freezebreaks or worse yet water lines INSIDE their EXPENSIVE 5th wheels or PARK MODEL homes and try their damndest to place the blame on Maintenance. Not to mention the Members who would piss and bitch about why their water was shutoff and why were they charged $50 for an EMERGENCY WATER SHUTOFF TAG....yada yada yada.

Sometimes I really miss the fun I used to have making our Case 580L sing and dance while I put in new water setups or filled potholes with the tractor or patched our paved roads with bagged asphalt and a hot torch. I was the designated Road Repair man and loved that aspect of my job.

Oh well, I'm near done with CNA school. Once I am state certified I'll be making good money working in health care. Health care is the single most expanding job in America right now with millions of Baby Boomers hitting their 60s and 70s in the next 20 years or so. I've only got to work another 4 to 10 years myself till I qualify for SS myself. Then I'll sell my place, buy or build my idea of an RV and go live the dream. :D

Rant over. I know I went off topic. So sad too bad. :D

Edit: Save an RV site for me somewhere in Humboldt County off the main road near some woods. I hear the best and smoothest Cannabis comes from the Humboldt area. If I head south I'll head down into this area score some Boo and head for Arizona or New Mexico.

California was awesome until hardcore capitalism gentrified it and spoiled the quality of life there.

Most of the cool Californians escaped to other states or countries. It's a very gentrified place now. Crappy place to live if you are low on money.

Every time I go to California now I feel like a dirty bum that accidentally walked into a fancy tea party.
