I've always secretly envied people who experience synesthesia, and last night I got to experience a very, very vivid version of it. I smoked a bowl of Clean Freak with a close friend of mine and got some very good puffs in (I'm very new to bongs, being too chicken to try them out until recently). It's been described as a pretty "creative" strain by a lot of the online sources I've come across, and apparently for me creative strains send me right into Music Nirvana. I started listening to Howard Shore's "Fellowship of the Ring" soundtrack, and holy hell. I experienced a full-blown light show with my eyes closed, with every note shooting out as a beam of light. The timpanis were especially incredible. I felt the more dramatic/intense pieces ("Prologue: One Ring to Rule them All") as a roller coaster. I was seeing, tasting, and feeling the soundtrack in my body as it was playing, with full-blown synesthesia in all of my senses. It was a pretty wild ride. I am disappointed that I had to stop due to nausea before I got to "Caras Galadhon/Lament for Gandalf," as that would have been an incredible synesthetic experience. Are there any film soundtracks y'all like to listen to after a bowl? Any recommendations for soundtracks and strains that go particularly well together?
I recommend giving a try to watching animations like "Paprika" and "Angel's Egg". They are truly mind-blowing experiences.
