btw the creator and the one who got jumped is 19, i dont know wer ur getting this 13 year old bullcrap from, yes i agree its wrong with armed kids, but this dude is an adult. and a gun for self protection is one thing, getting into a gunfight is another. say someone tries to robb, pull out as pice fool either runs or falls etc, it doesnt necesarily have to be a full blown 1 man versus gang war
A 14 year old kid is talkin about how he NEEDS and owns a gun. That's where we get that. Read some posts.
I agree that people need to be more educated on the subject, but not at all about the claim that there would be more "burglary, robbery, beatings, stabbings, and rape." I believe that is completely irrelevant. Guns are bad in all aspects, so even though it may not seem like the best idea right now, it will ensure a better future. Steps need to be made and banning all use of firearms is the first and most important.
Prohibiting something never works, it just creates illegal markets. There would be a huge black market for guns here with all the gun lovers in this country. Also if you look at the high rate of stabbings and brutal beatings in britain, you might agree with me more. Here you go http://www.usatoday.com/news/world/2006-05-30-knife-amnesty_x.htm In my opinion banning guns would be like trying to ban drugs, it won't work because thats not the source of the problem. Unless there is some kind of shift in global consciousness people will still fight and kill. If its not guns it will be knives, or bats, or whatever else laying around that you could kill someone with.
It sounds weird, but I would much prefer it that way. There are so many more murders by guns in the US than there are murders by knives, etc. in England. Guns just make killing so darn easy. And lets face it. Even if you are carrying a gun in self defense and someone wants to shoot you, they will, and it will be the last shot fired. Carrying a gun for self defense is a really backward idea. I mean why don't you just carry a fake one? All you're going for is just to look tough anyway.
I agree guns do make it easier to kill. So maybe banning them would help reduce some of the violence. but you cant really compare the rates because there are a lot of differences between the two counries, demographics and americas culture is less interdependent, more competitive, and overall violent. I basically think that our whole society is fucked and needs to wake up if we want to make it better and taking guns away will only cause people to get more creative. As long as there are millions of unregistered guns on our streets, the harmless people should be able to protect themselves too. plus I don't trust the govt to be armedand not citizens. Not to mention the fact that personally I would rather be shot than shanked with some rusty 8" long blade or beaten to death or firebombed. I dont know about you. point blank I see your point and could even possible agree with you. I dont really know man the whole shit confuses me. I just think the problems are much deeper Sorry by the way to the thread starter, this shit is like way off trakc and hijacked.
Dont talk shit. ill bet your tucked up at home now havin your fucking tea cooked for you. Shit youve probably never even seen a shooter.
The problem with this logic is that most cultures have what we call "criminals" who do not care whether it is legal for them to have a gun. By making guns illegal, you're giving the guys who have guns and just don't give a shit the edge. Everyone who would decide to follow the law would be at a disadvantage. It's already illegal for a lot of people to own guns, but they do anyway. By taking away guns you are leaving innocent people without adequate protection.
It's not just taking away guns, it's stopping production of guns. But gosh I think we've beaten this topic to death here.
i was robbed at knife point for 60 quid, my buddy got robbed for his phone too. he later told his brother since he thought he knew the person, the bro had a small revolver he said he would kill him if he found out it was that person. the fuss died down and nothing happened about shooters, my dad used to work for security when i was like 9, i dont know what kind of security it was but there was this room with survailance, a gym area outside of it and downstairs was 1 photocopyer. anyway the survailance room had a bunch of tv's and 3 guns, 2 9mm's and a rifle with a scope detached and left on the cupboard, i was fiddling about and later there was something he had to go for a minute, i picked up the handgun and shot it kinda by accident, i was shit scared my dad and some other guy ran up and i shot right at this poster on a wall, it was some rockstar and i got him right in the head lol without aiming or nothing. i was in alot of trouble etc etc. anyway, a few weeks later my dad bought home a gas revolver, u know they shoot blanks, he gave it to me to fire but i was too scared after before, he shot it out a few times and it was all. i knew where he kept it- if i was a retard i could have took it anytime and scared a bunch of ppl, back then i was really scared of guns.
I live in a prodomently jewish neghborhood. Anyway, a few years ago, a couple orthadox jew kids came up to my brother and robbed him and knifepoint. They were in their whole little outfit too...lol
Well if we stopped producing guns, our country would be pretty vulnerable to attack. This may be hard to understand, but guns do have a place in society.
I would have gone G-Town on his ass. http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=gloucester,+virginia Pull out my BB gat.
I'm the friend talked about in this thread. Thouse guy arn't gonna be showing up around here anymore. To the person who said that guns are hard to make. My Dads a gun smith, and just by watching him a few times. I bet I can make a bolt action rifle or a single shot pistol in under 2 hours. A break action shotgun in half that and I have no training. The black market would thrive.
