IMO people that call normal things gross must think that they are gross themselves.

Have fun, play safely, and don’t play with fire!

    Well IMO, you're not right.

She worked with school kids, much like yourself; she has long hair. Wow. Who would have thought? And I'm pretty sure she took care of the matter, but maybe she has a few left she can send your way?

Why should a person be embarrassed because of having head lice? How is that any different that having a cold or the flu?

I used to, but then it was like straw. I always wash it when it starts looking icky or smelling icky. Washing your hair every day may be right for your hair type, but not everyone can do that. My hair is really long and it takes awhile for my natural oils to coat it all after washing it. There's no point in buying artificial chemicals to do the job that my own body can do. Have you ever looked at the ingredients in your shampoo? I really don't want to expose my scalp to that every day anyway.

It's not gross to get head lice, anybody even you and the pope (except entirely bald people) can get head lice in line at a convenient store or any place u come within a foot or two of someone that has them. Many people have had them gotten rid of them and not even known it. People who blow dry their hair with a hot setting, tend to kill them off before they get established. Your probably in more danger from a misquote bite, than a lice bite.

She doesn't need to burn her bedding. Boiling is more than sufficient. In fact just washing it in hot water would most likely have sufficed.

If your wondering why i think i know so much about lice. It's because i've had both human and veterinary parasitology classes while working on a biology degree. For one of my labs in the veterinary parasitology class i went and picked lice off of hogs at a hog farm.

I feel for you! I just found out that I've got lice again. I blame my dirty friend who stayed on our couch for a couple of nights.

I coated my hair in so much oil this morning and brushed it all out. I think I'll try vinegar this evening. And I have to do my other halfs hair too, which is a mission cos it's real thick and long.

We're washing all our bedding in hot water at the moment too.

    It's no fun at all.

If all humans were as responsible and clean as Penny and Moro head lice would have been eradicated long ago, because each lice species is host specific, for example you can't get a head lice infection from anything but another human head. crabs and head lice are both lice but different species of insects.
