Interesting. I prefer if people don't see or notice. Just recently I've gotten to the point I can hike barefoot on trails where I'm likely to be seen. In the past I would only hike on lightly used trails at off times.

I’m in my own world when I am barefoot. The presence of others has no more impact than if I was shod. They are welcome to enter my world, but they might have to take their shoes off.
