    I've never heard it referred to as ASD. On the other hand, we live in the time of abbreviations and weird acronyms....
    Curiously, I took a look at the markers for Aspergers, which is on the high end of the autistic spectrum. I've been roasted and ridiculed most of my life for 20 of these markers. There are 21. Some say that, "If you have the spots, you have to pox". On the other hand, my brother says I may just have 20 markers. That's optimism....

    My understanding is that Aspergers Syndrome is "autistic lite"...that is, I would be considered "high functioning" in much the same way that some sociopaths are high functioning, functioning as CEOs or politicians for instance, although clearly without the horrifying optics. Of course, my understanding could be flawed or erroneous, as I'm only beginning to learn about all this.
