It does not take a rocket scientist to see what people put forth and it reflects what is within them....Look at the let's laugh at someone falling down and getting hurt photos and things people put forth here...let's make fun of fat people, etc.....and ugly shit......In their avatars, what they say....what they do and what they show..it is all from within them. Like I said, it does not take a rocket scientist,.
I like to think VG just digs playing devils advocate too much. Or he's really a selfish nihilist who is alright with everything going down after he's gone (no bond with most of humanity and the rest of the world can do this). They're out there for sure.
Although I have never visited America, I get the impression that the problem is far wore than in the UK. I often feel that the race relations laws make things worse, simply because they are so misinterpreted. The real laws simply state that it is illegal to insult or discriminate against a person BECAUSE of their color. It does not mean that a persons origins and culture cannot be discussed openly. When I meet or work with a black guy, it is never long before I ask him whether his origins are from Africa or the Caribbean and whether he enjoys spending time there. Rather than feel offended, in every case the guy is happy that I am talking to him as a person and we often end up chatting for hours. To me ignoring a persons origins and culture is the height of ignorance, I really cannot imagine any white person visiting Africa feeling insulted if someone asked him what country he was from. I have dropped peoples jaws in the past by my approach, having them say that I would be reported. You can imagine the puzzled look on their face when I mention that the guy has just invited Jane and I to dinner to meet his wife the following week end. Some people in this world are either stupid, or just plane ignorant, I sometimes find it hard to work out which.
Donny: Are these the Nazis, Walter? Walter Sobchak: No, Donny, these men are nihilists, there’s nothing to be afraid of. Donny: Are they gonna hurt us, Walter? Walter Sobchak: No, Donny. These men are cowards.
I didnt have a baby, dont put that voodoo on me I said I could have had a baby in the time between creating this thread and someone bringing it backto life. I just happened to notice I created it 9 months ago
i think you did. it was quite some time ago, but i think there was something about one or more women laughing for no obvious reason, and you were paranoid about it. or something like that. i don't remember exactly, and i may not have even been you, but i kind of think it was. i think she actually did, but wasn't it like four years ago?
Well If you proceed under the assumption that all human being are capable of committing the most evil heinous acts imaginable, that we’re entirely self-serving and no act is truly benevolent, and that all love is unrequited – then yes
the reason the galactic council came very close to unanimously approving the destruction of planet earth, is the romanticizing by humans of aggressiveness. no decision not to has been made final and absolute. the human species does have some redeeming potential. no greater nor even as much as most other sapiently populated worlds. but enough no one wants it to be sumarily destroyed. (and sumarily destroying a planet, requires no more the a tractor beam, translight velocities, and a large, well aimed rock) no one really likes the idea of having to destroy any world. but there are billions of worlds, each in their own solar systems, that the council is responsible, to protect them from the kind of potential threats, humanity's love of aggressiveness represents.
well she's not like the standard young mom who talks about literally nothing else, but i'm sure it has come up a few times since.
