And those high school dropouts who are succsefull, certainly didnt just go out and party, they taught themselves instead, and got an education on there own.

believe it or not, i can almost guarantee, no matter how much you hate high school now you will soon reminisce(sp?) about these days.

instead of dropping, maybe move to an alternative school, thats what I did, I only have 200 kids in my school instead of 3300... I start school at 8 30 get out at 12 46 every day and get no homework, and since theres less kids theres more of the student to teacher ratio and its alot less stressful, and all the other kids are just like me. and you will still graduate highschool

    And to what porkstock said...

I already miss highschool days and im still in highschool! I wanted to get help back my sophmore year because i first realized how highschool will most likely be the best days of my life. I love highschool and appreciate how all i have to do is go to school for 6 hours then do w/e i want while my parents give me money for drugs and partying. I dont wanna graduate, even tho i know i have to. Actually, i dont even want to grow up. I wanna be 16 forever. Then when im 17..ill wanna be 17 forever. Then when im 18 ill wanna be 18 forever.......then after that life just starts to SUCK.

when i was in high school i never even thought about dropping out because i always liked school and being with all my friends. my school was small my graduating class was only like 35 or so. i knew everyone and i knew all the teachers and they aere all cool as long as you did the work. heck as long as you turned in your work and asked good questions you were sure to pass. the people that do apply themselves are the people that hate school because the teachers hate that you arnt trying. i never really paid to much attention in class unless it was something i was interested in. but i always knew enough to ask good questions in like class discussions and shit like that so it never really seemed like i wasnt paying attention. i couldnt imagine going to a huge scholl with thousands of students and i could understand wanting to get away from that. in a way im glad that i went to a small school where all of the teachers were awesome and i concider most of them more like friends then teachers. only a few were really strict like the history teacher and the science teacher but i always liked science so i always did good in it.

now that i look back on high school i really miss going in everyday to just hang out with friends do some drugs and just basicly fuck around. IMO high school days are the best days of your life. why waste them by not doing anything when school is so easy compared to anything in real life?

I dont know about camels...but I work at the zoo, and we have really genetacly valuable elephant, and we send out his semen to other zoos all the time. They jack off jack (thats his name..hehe) once a month. But the guy who does it is making six figures. Obviously that isent all he does, but still. Id jack off jack for a hundred grand a year. Hell, id do it everyday.

paperplanes...listen to newradicalface..he is telling you the best advice you probally ever can get

trust me i know. Im 17, and i realized it. ( Actually i was smoking a blunt one day when i realized it. I Just woke up..and got my shit together. Im trying my best to bring my GPA up to get into a good college.) But thats not the point, you really dont want to drop out. When you get older you will understand. Dude your only 15, your life hasn't even really started yet. Fuck that other shit. Graduate high school with a diploma, and get into a college. If you graduate at 17/18, you will probally get ou tof college at 20...21 years old. After you graduate and have your degree, thats when its party time for real. Money comes first, and your gonna be making some serious cash if you go to college. You will be able to buy weed by the pound. I know its hard right now..shit its hard for me still, but think ahead. You like money right? If weed makes you feel really lazy, then just put it away until you finish school, or at least spark up after you've done all your homework and stuff.

Why the fuck is school so important? So you can get a good office job and serve society for the rest of your life?
I for one will never become a clone of society, working for the man all my life all for nothing at the end.
Dropping out of school will not make the op a crackhead!
She should have known better than to post here anyway because most of you are simply attacking her for feeling like we all did at that age.
A lot of people did go to college, and still have nothing.
The fact is that this world makes it almost impossible to survive unless you sell your soul.

WARNING: I'm going to sound like your mother right now but please just hear me out.

Doing what you want is obviously important to you, but when it all boils down, you will give yourself many more options to DO what you WANT when you have an education.

Sure, right now skipping class is what you want to do but in the near future you are going to realize that if you drop out of high school, you'll be poor, unhappy and have NO CHOICE other than to take on jobs that you have no passion for, no desire to do.

Sure, education is not needed for success and happiness, but it makes things a hell of a lot easier. You really need a tremendous amount of perserverence and desire to live successfully without atleast a high school education.

I encourage you to explore what your good at, what you like and persue it. I know you are still very young, but just having some glimmer of light and a goal at the end of the educational tunnel can help propel you through the dullness of high school. AND IT DOES GET BETTER. Please believe me! College has a lot more freedom and CHOICE. But you need to make your way through high school first.

You are young. You CAN do what you want (party, smoke weed, whatever floats your boat) and still do what is NEEDED (going to school). It doesn't have to be one way or the other, a medium can be reached.

    Best of luck!

I'm still going to go to college.

I want to study photography or photojournalism.

Over the summer I took a course at a gallery near by and the guy there offered to put some of my photos in a student show and pay me for it.

When I drop out I plan to continue being a waitress because I get really good tips and I'll be working full time so I'll be earning more,
and stull pursue photography on the side.

When I'm eighteen I'll get my GED and go to college. I got mostly A's and a few B's freshman year of highschool (I was still a stoner then, so don't blame it on the weed)

And I have $1,000 in the bank saved up to help us get started with the rent on the apartment.

There's no point in staying in school if I'm failing any way, and I don't plan on trying that much harder.

I mean a lot of people go to school and they're satisfyed and still have fun, and that's great for them, but I don't like that, maybe I;m just lazy but whatever it is I'm not about to put my life on hold so I can spend the next 3 years learning useless information that isn't even worth shit because there are 5 million other kids who learned the exact same thing.

I dunno...I mean I know it's hard to get a job n shit when you drop out but whatever, things will work themselves out and if not I can always go back to school if all else fails.
