you didn't start this thread saying to vaporize, or with any information to back up the statement. if you have a heart condition you can cause harm, depending on the condition. logically speaking, most people smoke it, at least starting out, and you can't just assume that we know you meant vaporize. vaporizing is better, but vaporizers arent cheap if you care at all about quality. as far as rhythms, it can help or harm them. it depends on the individual's reaction to it. if you are dependent on pot top get you to relax or to go to sleep, then if you run out your cycle will be jolted. the point that im trying to make is that there are many reasons to smoke, the most important being the ones you body shows you. not everyone smokes for the same reason, and everyone reacts differently. Also, not everyone keeps smoking because they recognize a health benefit, some just believe that they can't do without it. thats a mental addiction. why is this so important to you? why are you thinking on one side of the fence? you don't seem to be thinking this through carefully. it may be that you do not suffer certain ailments when you use marijuana, but i still feel my back pain, and i don't think that you are taking into account our human differences. "If you don't smoke your going to have worse acne, eczema, skin problems, back pain, anxieties, headaches, sleep worse. These are not symptoms of withdrawal, these are simply symptoms of someone who doesn't consume cannabis." these are symptoms of life.
Weed is definitley mentally addictive, by a very large degree, it's just the effects of withdrawl are slight. And some people do get physically addictive, many people who smoke near daily then have to stop for whatever reason often get headaches or massive insomnia
You seem smart enough to at least acknowledge the possibility of becoming psychologically addicted. Of course, it's nothing like a physical addiction, but it's still an addiction.
symptoms of a life without marijuana... not simply symptoms of life, but rather symptoms of a deficiency in vitamin marijuana I'm not on one side of the fence here. I'm on all sides of the fence, I am the earth the fence is implanted in. See a part of evolution is that we need to start accruing new substance into our diet. We are the most evolved species and we also have the most complex diet, this is not a coincidence. Complexifying diet means complexifying the organism. What this means is if we are to evolve to the next level we need a substance to stand upon to do it. And I would like nominate marijuana as the substance. Now lets embrace it for the Green Goddess and get on our merry way to getting in reintegrated into society where it should be.
"Physical Addiction" is an obselete misnomer. You can become physically dependent on some things like Alcohol, heroin and laxatives. But physical dependence is NOT addiction. Addiction is a mental condition and does not require the addict to ingest anything at all.
I would have to say that it depends on how you define addiction. Because cannabis consumption can DEFINITELY interfere with relationships with friends and stuff like that. As far as being addicting to the point where you NEED to have it to function, I wouldn't say that it's 'addicting' in that sense, but it can definitely be a social problem if abused and overused.
I know from the point of view of a good, conservative, christian, law-loving citizen I sound ridiculous, potentially even dangerous but what I say is truth its entirely true Now I know that, if you were to repeat what I said to most people they would laugh and just ignore everything you say, thinking your just a delusional drug addict of some sort. But I mean they threw fucking coppernicus in jail. Yes I do think saying "Evolution of the organism requires evolution of the diet" is one of those incredibly obvious, and blatantly true simple wisdoms existence akin to saying 'the earth is not the center of the solar system'. Marijuana is the prime candidate alright. We are not addicted, we're simply on the fore front of the human evolutionary challenge. It's of the utmost necessity that we all do our part to raise the collective tolerance of marijuana. So that some day our children can live in a society free from headaches, aches and pains, anxieties and any other problem that would come from over tension and stress. Seriously man don't think negatively about yourself because of something you intuitionally feel is correct. Thats just stupid.
Yes I would agree, like I said in another post. It's best to think of it like a vitamin, Vitamin Marijuana. You see, to get your daily amount of Vitamin C, you do not flood the body and eat 20 oranges a day. You just eat 1 or 2 a day. Thats all you need, for your entire life.
the possibility of becoming psychologically addicted. Ok.. then I'm addicted to electricity, indoor plumbing, my cat or my dog. ??...
rygoody, you feelin ok dude? I know that you are no troll, but this thread is full of some wacky shit. Paticularly this little bit right here..
I am smokin the whacky tobaccy But Im being serious there. Marijuana has removed so many unnecessary memories from me. I have a good memory that is filled with alot of technical information, I work in architecture, alot of specifics to remember. And marijuana has never harmed my memory of anything I actually care deeply about.
you know I wouldn't rate marijuana as purely pleasant either because it always makes me very self-concious and second guess and rethink things I do. And I undestand in some faucets of life that can be very detrimental. But in terms of artwork, I find the becoming highly self-concious and second guessing aspect of marijuana is actually very beneficial because, although it does sometimes throw you off, it ulimately does make you come back and see your artwork differently so that you can improve it. I do not think of marijuana as pure euphoria, i think of it as balance. It'll put you up at times, it can also drag you down at times, but it's all done because of an increased awareness of your current situation. Thats the only repeatable psychological effect marijuana has I think, increased awareness.
Addiction and dependence are the same thing, dumbass. "Addiction is a persistent, compulsive dependence on a behavior or substance. The term has been partially replaced by the word dependence for substance abuse. Addiction has been extended, however, to include mood-altering behaviors or activities. Some researchers speak of two types of addictions: substance addictions (for example, alcoholism, drug abuse, and smoking); and process addictions (for example, gambling, spending, shopping, eating, and sexual activity). There is a growing recognition that many addicts, such as polydrug abusers, are addicted to more than one substance or process."
