i don't know how to sew

So I finally got a sewing machine and a lot of fabric and have a great passion to learn to sew but I am lost is there any where online where i can get some patterns or directions mainly interested in patchwork any help would be greatly appreciated thanks yall

 

There is a book called Threads for Heads which details how to make patchy things. I've seen it on ebay for $20. Good luck with your sewing!
