As much as I'd love to (so I stop wasting my time at the box) I don't think I ever could.

Not weird- I did pretty much the same thing about 5 years ago. I even had digital cable for free at the time.

My TV just sat around to play one video game and I only played that game for about 2 months.

I pretty much immediately started d/l torrents though so I can't say I gave up anything except commercials. Commercials are a major part of the brainwashing/drooling stupids.

TV is bad but for a lot it is just background noise. I think video games are worse. TV just controls your sight and sound and it can be watched passively. Video games also control your touch and you can't really play video games passively (though Sim City and Civilization come to mind).

Add food and drink to it and you are just totally escaped from the moment and from directing your thoughts.

We have 3 TVs in our house (including one in my room). Though, I don't find myself watching it much at all.

I mean sometimes i will sit down and watch a show a like at a certain time, or catch a football (soccer) game, or other sporting event, but that's about it. I'm usually on the computer, playing guitar, xbox live, or out doing something. Plus i don't like to just sit and watch tv all day lol.
I definitely don't watch any of the News channels..because half of that stuff is just stupid or propaganda.

And I really only use the TV in my room for Xbox live haha.

There's so many better and more productive things to do then sit and watch TV. But there are one or two shows which I like to watch some day's if i'm home haha.

Mine's broken. It's not completely no telly as there are still the television programmes accessed by the internet. BBC I-Player is a wonderful thing.
