i don't think my daughter (she's 12) believes anymore because she gets all smirky when his name comes up, like 'oh yeah maybe i should ask santa for that mp3 player...' but so far she hasn't said anything outright. i'm glad though because it does mean she's growing up if she admits it and with all the other changes happening with her thats one i would be bummed about, even though i know she knows. its silly, but thats ok, i'm a mum so its allowed :p

Dude no!! why?! why tell your mum?! i didnt tell my parents, i didnt beleive in santa from a young young age but i STILL get a stocking. (well not now i moved out and last year way my first year without one and man was i sad!)
Tell her the tradition of santa is still fun. The idea of it is great and the thrill of having little stocking presants are still really cool.

Its silly, you shouldnt have told her. in her heart she knew you didnt beleive. I'm doing the stocking this year for my boyfriends little sister whos 11. Now chances are she doesnt beleive anymore either but screw to that im REALLY LOVING making her stocking. its what im looking forward to most this christmas is spending it with her and my boyfriend.

Have some heart man, just because you are "growing up" doesnt mean you cant still be a child. Because you are, and so am i. We are kids and we should embrace the fun we have. HELL i'll still be embracing it when im 30!
