As for me, I had to ask my husband for a divorce because he was insufficiently interested in sex. Love him to death, and he's my very best friend, so that was incredibly hard. However, I really could not live my life like that.

 

I don't know, though. Not all Muslim men treat women poorly. It totally depends on each person. For example, the Russian/Ukrainian friends(female) I've spoken to would express that all Turkish men are only after sex, based on their own negative experience, and at such times I'd find myself saying to them that not every Turkish man is like that. Very worthy attempt. People seem to get stigmatized on here sometimes merely for living in a 'muslim country' People there are obviously in the first place individuals too and acting like that. Guys perceiving girls as only or mostly sex objects and pieces of meat IS a global thing, just like there are more well balanced guys everywhere as well. Umm, first off, my replies on this thread have nothing to do with how old my girlfriend is. And second, I've never once said that I don't like the way women in my age group look.

As for the whole objectification of women concept, just because one is able to admire beauty of the opposite sex doesn't mean that one automatically objectifies them. Objectification is about disregarding the human aspects that they have. There's a difference between that and admiring beauty.
