I Can't Hear You!!! If its all fake news, then the joke is, Everybody is screaming and nobody is listening, And, you may as well be arguing with a computer. Explaining why so many people are voting, For whichever clown screams the loudest, Because they've all plugged their ears, Shouting, "I Can't Hear You!!!" Building a wall between them. Building walls around ghettos, Building walls around hospitals, Building walls, around the walls, Building walls, around boarders, Building walls, around any malls, Building walls, under the oceans, Building walls, around the empire, Building walls within their markets, Building walls, around the schools, Building walls around their cubicals, Building walls to replace the fences, Building walls, around frozen hearts, Building walls, within their own minds, Building walls within the entire internet, Building walls between north and south, Building walls around gated communities, Building walls, around their stock markets, Building walls around every federal building, Building walls, between the rich and the poor. The faster the money keeps floating to the top, The louder they scream and the higher the walls. The Chinese build enough walls to circle the earth, No less than 26 times, but all turned out to be in vain, For there is no denying the earth remains the mother of all. There is no denying we are building walls for the Tower of Babel, There is no denying we are building walls around all our own poisons. Four walls meet at the hearth, because of the door we may use the house, Having lost all confidence in anything that anybody has to say about anything, There is no denying, we are all building walls ascending the Stairway to Heaven, Or, determined to create our own hell on earth, and kill our children in the process.
This is another good example of the kinds of ridiculous editing this style of poetry and writing requires. Thanks to Storch for the prompt, but this one will require time to edit properly. Walls are a great rudimentary metaphor that I'll have to take a few years exploring in more depth, and playing with the metaphor in random poetry is a great way to go for me.
And every such walled-in enclosure becomes a cell--a cancer cell upon the body of the mother. And when there is nothing left to put a wall around, we will build a wall around the walls.
