There was another thing on the news too, about the g8/g20 meetings... it was saying that some of the delegates were going to push Obama to give a final number on what BP will have to pay... The oil is till coming out... how the fuck can anyone know how much it will cost in the end???

 

i'd have felt the same... but you right... bill up a big'un and just enjoy the rest of what we got left... before i do that however, i'd idealy like to get into a fully self-sufficient lifestyle... that's my aim anyways... "Why can't we see the top of the cap? How do we know they didn't just extend it up past the level of the camera so it looked like they were doing something more then they were?"

It really bothers me everytime I hear someone mention using a bomb to seal off the leak...

I really have no clue what the risks are in doing it, but just off the top of my head, setting off an explosion in the sea floor above a huge oil and gas bubble and below a 'lake of oil' just doesn't seem like a good idea...

 

I agree. Seems like the possibility exists that a bomb could open up the whole gas and oil pool ,which could spell doom for all the oceans. When Russia did it,it was on terra firma. The scientists involved with setting off the first A-bomb didn't know if it would set off a chain reaction or not. Fortunately ,it did not. I for one,hope they don't try it.
