I had given up alcohol 2 months ago. I got depressed and decided to start drinking again but I end up with my stomach no longer accepting alcohol. Before that, I was able to drink enough to get stone drunk. My stomach used to accept high amounts of alcohol so that I would get drunk. Strange.
I dont throw it up. It is just that my stomach does no longer accept it after having 2 months of break without drinking.
Nope. My point is, I cannot any longer drink high amounts of alcohol like I used to because my stomach does no longer accept it. So I can't get drunk any longer.
But why are you trying to drink to forget? The issue here is something else. Something you are trying to block out.
More than likely if you're a habitual drinker and love getting drunk then your liver is unable to process current levels of alcohol . Keep in mind alcohol is poison and the liver works extremely hard to rid the body of this toxic chemical. In the end unfortunately this situation begins to reverse and the liver becomes a petrified lump of ineffective tissue. We commonly call this condition cirrhosis and there is no cure.
I dont vomit but I don't feel my stomach very good by drinking either. I used to be able to stand the bad taste of alcohol and get stone drunk but after having 2 months of break without drinking, I can't. That's it. Each time I tried to drink I ended up being sober all the day after 2 months of break strangely.
Are you always sober in your life? You never want to get drunk? Alcohol is very expensive in Turkey so definetely it is not something I should drink so often ( I would be out of money). Neither do I want to get drunk everyday. But once in a while I want to get drunk. These days are one of those days I want to get drunk by listening to music. My problem with alcohol is when I drink, I want to get drunk. Thats it. I mean I dont drink alcohol for its delicious taste but its drunk feeling at the end.
It's 4 am here and I am still up. If I was drunk then, I would be sleeping long before this time. Lol.
What did you mean? I dont like storing alcohol at home. I intend to finish what I buy. I am not an alcoholic. I dont drink as often as you might think. But when I do drink, my purpose is to get real drunk, which is not good perhaps. But yeah. I cant give up alcohol permanently. Once in a while I wanna get real drunk. I cant keep myself away from this feeling permanently in my life.
it doesn't really go bad though. just stick it in a cupboard and a month later when you feel like drinking, it's already there. unless it's beer, keep it in the fridge then. but it can still stay there for quite some time without any serious consequences, especially if you're more concerned about the buzz than the taste.
