pft, if you thinks that's bad, I broke BOTH my wrists at the same time. You talk about hell..Showering was bad, wiping was worse. Btw, it didn't effect my writing or typing skills badly. It itched like hell though. And my wrists seemed so skeleton-like when they took the casts off. They were so thin and fragile looking. Not to mention they felt so weird. It took me a few days to get over the new feeling. But nehoo, as bad as the experience is, the only things that really sucked was that it 1) took A LOT of talent to wipe...and 2) it messed up my running form. My XC coach constantly has to remind me to quit running like i'm in two casts. It was in my earlier running years. It is getting better though. Oh yea, and when they sawed those things off, the saw burned my skin..I could feel the friction when they were sawing them off. I was thinking it was gonna rip my skin off or something, ouchies.
Um, don't try to tell that to a skydiver. Sorry to hear about your wrists. What's the story behind you breaking both of them? -Jeffrey
the only big prob i have run into is taking off and putting on bras i've resorted to wearing one that hooks in the front but it's still a challenge.
That sucks sweetie... Your not supposed to break yourself... I hope it feels better and sending some healing vibes your way
poor, Lynsey. I'm wishing you a good, fast recovery! props for typing with one hand! You must really love us!! really though, I'm sorry you are hurt and my sympathy is with you. Get better soon, babe!!
rofl about the skydiver..I guess they are just SOL then...I like the quote though. But I suppose it isn't true in all cases, which doesnt make it so great..unless you go into a whole speel about afterlife not being a failure and what not, it could be argued either way. But nehoo, about those wrists. It was in the most unsuspected sport, Cross Country. We were doing back-peddling drills >where you run backwards< and I guess I wasn't on my toes, so, by doing that, I was just asking for trouble. Not to mention some girl ran into me. But, I fell backwards and caught myself..then CRACCKKKKKKKKKKKKKK POP. It kind of threw me for a loop. I didnt think I broke nething though, they didn't swell or nething. It hurt like hell, I was a trooper and carried my stuff out and opened the car door >I thought perhaps I sprained it or something< And I told my mum about it and she told me that I should go to the hospital. I argued that I shouldn't "nah i'm fine, i'm fine" She made me go though, and sure enough, they were both fractured, the left one worse than the right >which was strange because i couldn't move the right at all, but I was rolling my left one and such on it's own. So, they brought in an expert to look at make sure they didn't make a mistake because they said I shouldn't be able to move my left one by itself like I was. It was very crazy, but....that's my story, I wore two big blue casts and was known as :blue arms:
