The literature I`ve read says otherwise. Women are actually serially monogamous/hypergamous, and it was a passe scientific bias that women were monogamous.

By hypergamous it means, yes, women will shack up with a guy during maternity and then look for a trade up. Stronger, taller, richer.

That`s why there`s 88% or 66% cheating in the world, depending on whose figure you want to go by. If women were truly monogamous, heterosexual men wouldn`t have anyone to cheat with.
