I can post dozens of Muslim protesters holding up signs along the lines of, "Behead those who insult Islam". I won't, I think we've all seen them by now. You might then say that out of thousands of Muslims in the crowd, only a few dozen held such violent offensive signs. That might be true, but the majority did not tell them to take down those signs. The other thousands did not speak up and say this is not appropriate. There is such a thing as silent support. It is clear to me that the vast majority of Muslims will silently support their more fanatical jihadists.

Forty Five years ago Radical Christian Extremists like him blamed all black men when only one stole a hub cap. They used to say all black men were lazy, smelly, and criminal. Then they said the same thing about Poncho Villa Mexicans, and then they started in on the Viet Nam refugees and called them Gooks. Now they are after the Muslims, no matter what country they come from, no matter if they speak different languages. The generic label gives guys like Mrwriter aka Relaxxx aka whatever an chance to go after the generic Muslim, as if every one of them has the same line of thinking.

Do you even realize you are stereotyping just like the people you are complaining about?

    See, this doesn't make sense

Because after every terrorist attack I hear reports of Muslims all over the world coming out and denouncing the attacks, denouncing radical terrorism.

Why haven't you heard about this? Its almost like you're not paying attention to anything that doesn't fit your narrative.

It also might be helpful to keep in mind more Muslims than non Muslims have died at the hands of extremists, at least in recent years.

And he has not taken time to read that open letter to Baghdadi, the one signed by 240 real Imams who say he is not educated and not authorized to act as an Imam, and not authorized to issue Islamic decrees. Oh no, he won't read stuff like that, just don't fit his KKK agenda.

Islam is fine as long as they don't have any active role in governing any country.

(By the way, I feel that way about every religion with that strives for political influence). It sucks that I have to add this disclaimer so I can assure myself that I won't get crucified by the social justice warriors and have my job taken away for having the gall to criticize islam.

Can you please stop that KKK garbage in reference to your convo partners on here. Whatever they think and whatever their motive might be it is pretty clear neither mr Writer or relaxxx is a right wing racist. So it seems such comments are not really adding in any constructive way to the topic, only have the chance to let it derail in pointless personal attacks. It is not helping your serious point or argument in any way. Thanks in advance :)

About your disclaimer: It sucks that you feel you have to. But you don't really have to (If you feel like that you are taking the most verbal SJW on that issue a bit too serious). The point you are making about religion here is spot on but also actually one for captain Obvious ;) Yes, the seperation of church and state has been a super development and most significant. As we can see in several muslim countries traditionally christian orientated countries aren't the only ones to have figured that out.
To nuance your point, islam in general is fine if it is obstructed from infringing on peoples life (especially through state/government rule) but there still are dubious aspects in islam that need attention and can and should rightfully be criticized (and tried to be improved) of course.

This nuance is usually lacking in a debate with extreme pc people (which you and mr writer seem to give too much attention to the point that you sometimes act like anyone who argues in favor for islam or muslims in some way are doing so for pc reasons) and extreme anti-islam and/or anti-muslim people. And probably the biggest reason OP created this thread.

Haven't you figured it out yet? Anyone who disagrees with Stormountainman is a KKK member by default.

And actually, the SJW and political correctness issue is becoming a huge one. They are the thought and language policemen right out of 1984 and our freedom of speech is at significant risk. They are cry bullies who use slander and libel to ruin the lives of people with the wrong opinion.

I think if we all care about a constructive convo we can very easily break through that status quo where we portray eachother as something ludicrous because we don't like each others perception on things.

I'm not saying poltiical correctness isn't a real issue, but I am strongly convinced some people are overly concerned with it, at least at times. I know this when people who are clearly concerned about it are certain I am saying stuff for political correct reasons. This is only the most obvious example though that some people are seeing things distorted because they themselves have taken the PC issue to the next level :p It can even be easily projected onto them as well that they are also (mainly verbally happily but still) bullying people into not speaking out in a certain way, just like the overly PC SJW do. It seems to go both ways.

Look. Im gonna try to make a post that matters. This is amtr/lucky. Im very sick & dont have long but ill try. And i only read some of 1st page. Look..both sides have points. Last weekend i was in philly, was 1st witness there to somethin i knew nada about..interrogation room n all (yes o got released in 20 mins i got nada to hide)---but neways my friends for 3 days there were black Muslims. They ttm bout the peace of allah n i talked about the peace of bible. Just about treating others way you want to be treated. I found w moderate muslims its the same n when u quote the golden rule etc that's what they want. But is islam a prob? Unfortunately yes. And moderate muslims need to speak out.
