As humans we tend to think of some people as truly wonderful, and perhaps they are in human terms. Yet the God of the Bible has stated, ''for ALL have sinned and come short of the Glory of God.'' God also states, ''that your best works are but filthy rags before the Throne of God.'' The God of the Bible has stated, ''that no one will be justified by the works of the law.'' Another words, you can't work your way into heaven, and you can't say to God you deserve to go to heaven. So it really comes down to, why should God let you into heaven?

 

if thats how things are then i think id prefer hell alongside everybody else.

 

Instead of with the God that loves you so much that HE GAVE. I would hate to be with the opposite end of that...

 

I would rather be with my gods who loved me so much that I was born from them.

Christians everywhere have heaped up teachers that teach what they want to hear (eternal pleasant life), instead of listening to sound doctrine which is the testimony of all that happens around them (suffering, ignorance of suffering, death, etc.).

I accept the parts of the bible that accurately describe what God does in the world around me. The parts that talk about fairy tale paradise, etc. I do not believe. Even the best life is beset on all sides by tragedy and death. You simply have to realise that you can believe a lie in order to understand why the idea of heaven (paradise) is pleasant, and why people have heaped up teachers that tell them they can get to heaven by a completely simple method- thinking Jesus's sacrifice has bought them passage.

The religion of lies is based upon hope for that which you never receive. The religion of truth accepts that God does not desire God's creation to live in paradise, which is why the world is as it is, why all life is beset by suffering and death.

Then again, life ain't all that bad. It's just not a fucking paradise.

We all go through our hardships, but what's important is that we remain faithful to the Lord, which means we must place our love, trust and obedience on Him (which is almost never easy!). This is what a true faith in Christ is. I can't promise you that life will be easy, but I can promise that if you focus first and foremost on God, that He WILL take care of you.

An important lesson that I've learned (er...well, am currently still learning) is that often times we tend to think of our hardships as our hardships. But remember, God never intended for us to function alone. Even from the very beginning, Adam was incomplete without Eve. God created us to be by nature “community” creatures. That is, we are designed to function in groups. And so there is no difference when it comes to the Church. The Church is supposed to be a community of believers (“the body of Christ”), of which Christ is the head, who share in each other’s trials and struggles. Where one Christian is weak, another is strong, and the strength of the one Christian is used to bless another who is weaker in that area. In his letter to the Romans, Paul talks of they being mutually encouraged by each other’s faith (Romans 1:11-12). The Bible makes it very clear that the purpose of God blessing us is so that we bless others. 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 says, “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.”

So I think the important thing here is that you get connected with some church in your area, and get into fellowship with some other Christians. Don’t fool yourself, God doesn’t want for you to go through struggles alone. Anyway, I pray you find peace in God.

The reason the Jews are back in Israel is because the Bible states God would allow them to return so the other nations will attack them. The second coming of Christ will be in our generation, because all the prophecies are now being fulfilled in the day we live. When God protects Israel from this great Islamic army, God will not spare America. The Bible states that all of Americas cities will burn, and are nation will be totally destroyed in a sneak attack in one hours time. I writing this to let you know, that God is not a joke, and it's sad to see how it appears you think He is. I fear most people, will only begin to understand this, after their first thousand years in Hell. The Bible indicates that most of the world will end up there. If God was interested in saving large numbers, He would of drowned Noah, and saved the world. God's looking for the few.
