Perhaps if AIDS were a disease which affected only homosexuals, you would have a point here. But this is very obviously not the case. Many true Christian believers have suffered and died from this malady (due to blood transfusions). Would that reflect the intentions of a just God? I suppose that you might attempt to argue that such people couldn't have been true believers if they fell prey to AIDS, but I think that would be a specious argument. I fail to see how AIDS can be used as a part of your line of reasoning. You would do well to leave that one alone.

Perhaps God will save the world, but it is your ideas concerning His methodology which I question. To cause the deaths of so many innocents (which, considering the current state of warfare is unavoidable) is not His way. This much He promised "even though every inclination in his heart is evil from childhood." God made a covenant. Now, by your reasoning, apparently He will simply use a different method. Avoiding the flood allows him to kill indescriminately without breaking His covenant. Correct?

Here's a thought. Mr. Campbell, if you will start a thread in the Religion and Philosophy forums, I will happily meet you there. I would continue this discussion, if you are willing. I have my doubts concerning yur ability to defend your line of argument. This has nothing to do with the Christian religion in general, which I will not attack. If you can stomach the debate, I promise that I will freely admit that you are correct IF you can successfully defend your line of reasoning. The challenge intrigues me. Start a thread in those forums set aside for such converstaions, so as not to continue to arouse the ire of those who have no wish to be involved. I look forward to it.

I will no longer discuss this issue in the Random Thoughts forums. I think you will agree, we are no longer dealing with anything random. Let's show respect for those who post here and go elsewhere.
