Between Lorna doom and this name I had 4 different usernames...can’t remember them all thefutureawaits, Jason and something else. I lose track. None of my usernames overlap or post in the same thread. Don’t want to break forum rules. Btw where is that guy up in Canada who fixes cars? Used to be a regular and now he is gone? Hmmmmm

You’re being facetious right, because it doesn’t sound all that grand [IMG]

One of Jane's brothers is a long distance truck driver. His truck puts many peoples houses to shame. On long trips (up to 3 weeks), he eats sleeps in it. The truck is even fitted with an inverter that powers a microwave, kettle and wide screen television in the living compartment. All it needs now is a shower. LOL.

He thoroughly enjoys the life, but it would not be for me.
Perhaps another important factor is that it is work, and he still has a wife and home to return to at the end of the trip.
Also, by saving money on the trips by not staying at hotels, he can afford to spend a week or more at home before he sets off again.

I dont know any Jehovah Witnesses to be homeless, as they are a tight community that looks out for each other here. No job, Jehovah will give you one, no place to sleep Jehovah will find give you one. Just head to the Kingdom Hall and share your needs..

being able to isn't as good as owning land and being able to build on it, or better yet being able to build and stay someplace without having to indenture yourself to if that were possible,
but having your truck and being able to camp in the back of it, as long as you've got an income for gas and maintainence, is waaaay many times better then being stuck in some city,
being over charged for rent in some poorly maintained unit in a less then wonderful part of town.

luckily i have pension that covers rent, but wouldn't cover rent and a vehicle at the same time, so i feel kind of stuck.
on the other paw, i am glad for hvac and wifi, but i do remember being able to explore back roads and growing up in the woods.

I’ve been homeless before. Started working 10-12 hours a day for like 7 years.
