At work and doing home repair projects, every measurement I make has to be in imperial units. So that means I have to do all my measurements and mathematics in fractions. When I am on the computer doing a 3D print for a design I do all my measurements in metric. It’s just easier to do the math in decimal form, and everything is in an increment of 10. When I’m stuck doing a project in imperial units it makes me wanna be in a different country. I’m a bad American because I like the metric system better. Oh America, the rest of the world adapted to changing to the metric system, why can’t you?
We Still Use Both Here In OZ......lbs For Tyre Pressure..Water And Oil..etc......Most Tape Measures Sold Show Both......Land Sizes Can Be In m2....But Usually Acres.....We Have Been Doing This For Years And Seems To Work Well..... Cheers Glen.
I hate when steel rulers have Imperial one side, metric the other side. fuck off outta here with your Imperial, quart 8ths of an inch bullshit. just say 3cm.
I hate it when fem_fatale posts one liner posts. I really mean to focus on the content but that fantastic avatar pic is always right above it and just terribly, terribly distracting
I can always send you some more... interesting pictures. You know, so my avatar would be less of a distraction by comparison. I just want to help you focus .
Metric is so much easier. 5280 feet in a mile is drilled into Colorado school kids like me. But it';s true that most Americans outside the "mile high city" have no idea.
Gimli Glider - Wikipedia The subsequent investigation revealed that a combination of company failures, human errors and confusion over unit measures had led to the aircraft being refueled with insufficient fuel for the planned flight.
I am grateful for your consideration btw but I'm certain it doesn't help Although in the name of science we should verify.
it is an odd number to remember, but it seems like it comes up enough that most people would know it anyway.
