    K but I want new legs :/

Yeah models are showing it tracking further to the west today, yesterday they were showing it possibly coming inland between Savannah and Charleston amd sustaining winds up to 70 mph as it moved into upstate SC. Looks like if the current model is right we'll only get the eastern most band of it here

They are so blinded by hate that it apparently doesn't matter who will be in the wake of this storm.. If youre friends with these types of people. Get them to seek mental health treatment.

I live in Florida, not in an evacuation zone, though. It's still scary AF. :/ We are prepared, and just hoping for the best. It has changed course a little, and lessened to a Cat 4, so that still sucks but it should decrease in some strength, they're saying here.

Just saw the news and there are hundreds of cars parked on the highway shoulders because people don't want their cars remaining in flood zones while they are evacuating. This is so crazy. It's like The Walking Dead without the zombies.

I'll be talking to the huge trees that closely surround my house.

I just hope our windows don't shatter. :( I'm not concerned about flooding, but the windows blowing out scares me. Best wishes for everyone here going through this!!

Willow trees are strong enough to bend
Never like the oak that lives in fear of the wind

I'm worried about the same. Not a good update this hour, not looking good.

Ugh I'm watching :( Think going to a pet friendly shelter is sounding like a good idea. Life is precious, we can replace windows. I just imagine shards of glass flying through the house. Maybe I'm panicking but sounds possible?

It's weird you say that because I like adventures, but I don't like uncertainty when it comes to a deadly storm so...sigh :( Like where I live isn't being evacuated but the storm keeps shifting.

I just heard about hospitals evacuating, damn that has to be crazy intense right now for people in critical condition, newborns, etc like having to transport them to a safer place. Wow that has to be so hard! :(

At this point I feel like it's to late to leave. I will go to a neighbors who has storm shutters. I would rather leave the the shelters for those in need, the elderly, handicap, and so on. I will just pray we will all be safe.

Here's a couple websites with info about the hurricane and prep
    www.ready.gov
    www.redcross.org
    www.noaa.gov

You may still have time to board your windows with 5/8" exterior grade or marine plywood. I think it also has to be cut to fit though. Supplies may be low (or there may not be any).

A local cable channel or other local emergency info source may give you the best information

Hurricanes really make me question why houses started being built with decorative shutters rather than actual functioning shutters
