We're okay where I am but the coastal areas are getting a bad storm surge that is causing a lot of flooding

the scrapper in me just sees hundred dollar bills from all those scrap cars and converters

but i guess just like price gouging when scrap is abundant the payouts drop dramatically and hauling it to another market is cost prohibitive

I saw a photo a while back of people rescuing their chickens and roosters from the hurricane by wrapping them up like burritos in newspaper so they wouldn't fight each other in the back of the car. It looked like animal abuse, but I guess if you gotta keep them from having a cock fight it makes sense.

I remember 96 being a money maker for me in North Carolina. Really shouldve stayed there. iirc there were storms back to back and that's where all the jobs where. Jerry was dead so there was nothing better to do I suppose.

Wow! That doesn't make physical sense. How did the tree's root structure make it to the 2nd floor?

I'm honestly not sure, I thought maybe the tree was tall enough and top heavy enough to pivot over the downward slope of the other side of the roof, but there was another picture that made it look like the top half of the tree went through the roof
