Heading back home and heard that the power didn't go out and it was pretty uneventful. lol I fell asleep around 4am at our friends house and it seemed worse in Orange County.

I'm grateful everyone is okay. (I'm never leaving again though. Lol)

Our county is reporting trees and power lines down already.

It's still pretty still at my house.

I'm in Northern Henry County, Georgia. It's part of Metro-Atlanta.

Family in Florida are all safe and sound.

Irma wasn't much by the time it hit mainland Florida. While that's good for some, the destruction in the Keys and the Caribbean has been pretty intense.

Our power went completely down for a second but it came right back up.

Be safe, I just watched the news now that we're home, and it looks like it is coming to northern Florida, Atlanta area. But, seriously, it was rated a CAT 2 to 3 and there's not much damage where I live. I can't see this doing much damage by the time it hits GA. But, better to be cautious.

LOL Power is out at my sisters, so she hunkered down in her car with a bottle of wine and charged her phone just so she could let me know she was okay.

EDIT: I think you can actually get a DUI for that

A friend of my daughter, 15 - 20 miles from here, says all the small trees around her are down, her neighbor had a big tree come down, and that she has limbs all over her yard.

I feel sorry for her. She's home with 3 children and her husband is working during the storm.

This storm is really so weird to me, how many people suffered horrible damage, and others were unscathed. I'm sorry to hear that!! :(

    Please be careful. ((hug))

Is this for certain or just a rumor?... as if it is true, that is horrible...maybe those people, who would do that, should be tied up to a fence if any other hurricanes come through....People can flee...Animals depend on us.....

I heard the weather ;lady getting hit with a stop sign was on face book from 2016.....so i don't even know if that is real...Is she ok? I never heard of that before, and it is very sad about the manatee.

We are still not really having any big gusts.

My friend's daughter just posted: It's strong! It tipped over my big heavy planter w/ a blueberry plant in it. There are rocks at the bottom of the thing so I never though it would budge.

Who has a llama? No, you put it outside, and let it be free.....At least, it will have some chance....Who ties anything to anything outside for that?
