People evacuated Miami and went to Tampa.... Now, Irma is gonna hit Tampa. That's rude... would have to make them wonder, wtf
We just got upgraded. ***TROPICAL STORM WATCH - The National Weather Service in Peachtree City has issued a TROPICAL STORM WATCH for North and Central GA. This includes metro Atlanta. Sustained winds of 35-45MPH and frequent wind gusts to 60MPH are probable. Wind gusts to 70MPH cannot be ruled out. Winds of this speed for this amount of time will lead to widespread downed trees and power lines. Prepare now for widespread power outages.
Well, we are on our way to our friends who live in Orange County and all of my neighbors are staying or most of them it looks like. Part of me feels like we should just be staying and the other part feels like we are doing the best thing. Idk, if they got this storm wrong I'm never listening to them again. --_--
I saw lots of Florida license plates while driving around yesterday I feel bad for all the east coast Floridians who sat in traffic for hours only to find out they didn't need to evacuate after all
Me too. I get that it's better to be safe than sorry but a mass exodus out of south Florida didn't seem necessary. I get preparing people but creating mass panic just seems extreme.
One can only hope that when the dust dies down and the mist clears, it will provide an opportunity for to build stronger and better, standard of physical structure and social relationships - for together, united resolve will endure
Just got to our friends house and there was some bad rain and tornadoes but we made it. Highways are creepy, like no one on them. There is a curfew in place starting at 7pm tonight that if anyone is traveling on the roads, they'll be arrested. These friends of ours want to party tonight lol ^_^ Thanks for the good wishes everyone! Stay safe!
I was talking to my cousin, near Houston, and he said he didn't have electricity for 10 days due to Harvey.
A guy opened up his convenience store across the street; it's the only place open around here, and the place has been packed all day. I just hope he closes and heads home before the storm gets too bad.
