Your right, disasters have been around for a long time, but the fact that the Jews are back in Israel is one of the bigger signs the Bible points to as a sign of Christ Second Coming.

Keep in mind the birth pains of it all. Jesus says signs are like birth pains. When the pains get closer and closer together you know that birth is near. Likewise, when the signs of the end get more closer together and more frequent you will know that His return is near. Have not natural disasters increased? I would like to see the statistics if any one could find any, perhaps in the last fifty years.

The signs are getting closer and closer to one another. There is only 7 more years until Christ SHOULD return according to propchey. There are a lot more propchices focusing on the End Times right before the return of Christ that still have to be fulfilled. It won't be long this time, we just had New Orealns as a clear foreshadowing of what is to come to the coastlines. More natural diasters will come and will be worse. You will see tensions rise among nations. By the end of 2006 world war will have broken out, millions will be dead, everyplace on earth will be a nigthmare. New Orleans will not be given any breaks. Local Goverment will be changed there and the failure of aid during Katrina will be blamed on the mayor. Ships will flip in the Gulf soon. The destruction is not going to let up anymore, welcome to the End of Days.

Jerry, I need to ask you one question.

God said that He would return His people the Jews from all nations and return them back to the land of Israel. Since there may be just as many Jews in America than in Israel, and this return must take place before the Great Tribulation. When do you think God will have the millions of Jews living in America return to Israel, and what will motivate them to leave the United States?

The Bible states that Jesus Christ made the world and all things. So with that being said, I believe He can do a little more than just make it rain in Israel.

According to the Bible God exist as one God but three persons. That's why it states in the New Testament, that their are three persons in Heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost and these three are one.

Cambell, adding your Christian Trilogy spin doesnt help a point,
the God of the Bible would never be three, he is only one, and a
    jealous one at that.

But I dont care to argue Christian theology, its not my interest.

If as you say God is only one, why does God say in Genesis 1:26, '' Let Us make man in Our image.'' Who was God talking to?

Well, I've also read there are hints of a variety of different gods from cultures of that region, meshed together into the Bible. I'll post the info in just a bit.

THE GOD OF THE OLD TESTAMENT HAS CLEARLY STATED THAT THERE IS NO OTHER GODS BEFORE HIM, AND HE ALONE CREATED ALL THINGS. So you have to ask yourself if that is what the God of the Old Testament has stated, then who was he talking to when He said. ''Let Us make man in Our image''.

No cambell, he states that there shall be no other gods before him, speaking to the Hebrew people and their convenant with Yahweh to leave their pantheons, for only one god.

There are two gods of the old Testement anyway, the Yahweist writers in the post-Axial Age wrote his name in all the parts.

The god of Abraham and Jacob, and the god of Moses and Elijah are two different gods, with two different names.

As to the trilogy, Yahweh says that he will give his name, nor credit to anyone but him, so why would he have Jesus and the Holy Ghost getting
in on his praise? he is too jealous for that.

Sorry guys for bringing it back on topic for a sec...Hurricane Rita Gods will?....

The more i thought about this the more i realized how ridiculous this whole 'Gods Will' theory is....whenever there is human suffering... and not just on the scale of Hurricane Katrina... I question the existance of a God.

There are some that would have us believe that there is a purpose to all this suffering and that He is just standing back and letting happen.... what sort of a God is that?

But then...this God is so busy finding jobs for people like Cambell that preventing human suffering just doesnt get a look in.

I dont want to believe in a God that could but wont prevent suffering... a God who could feed the hungry and heal the sick but would rather play a games with us.

And why would anyone want eternal life at the expense of so much human misery?

suddenly i am enlightened......... THERE IS NO GOD

Well first of all most of this world could care less about God. The God of the Bible knows a lot about suffering, because humankind nailed Him to a cross. And if you actually knew anything about God, you might have a clue as to why He would mess up this worlds good times. And much of the suffering we have in the world is a direct result of the world rejecting God and His Word. There was a time in this country when we taught kids to have morals, now we teach them how to put on a condom. And when the condom breaks, and the girl gets pregnant, no problem, we just cut the baby out of her and toss it in a dumpster. This world needs a reality check, and their baptism of good times, free sex, and murder, will not bring anyone closer to God. But hardship will. Americans have murdered 50 million of their own citizens by abortion, where's the out cry from that human misery?
