so, is that the picture theymodelled depp's cahracter around?

 

I have no idea. I just thought it was a cool picture of Hunter.

 

they modelled Depp's character around hunter's alter ego, so he looked much like Thompson himself.

 

I'm sorry, duh...yes they wanted Depp to look like Hunter. I think they did a good job too.

he liked his guns so i guess if he was to go down, it deserves to be by his own bullets

 

not necessarily an indictment of drug usage. just proof that it doesn't necessarily mute our more persuasive demons. thompson has entered the halls of hemmingway, elvis and cobain. how neat for him. i bet he's laughing his ass off.

 

yea really. they were friends, and he was supossed to be in a movie based on The Rum Diary, or so I heard.

it was supposed to come out last year, but Depp had a lot more going on so it got delayed.

I never thought so many people loved him.

Even John Kerry was a good freind of his.

 

my dad met him briefly at a party years ago.

your dad must have been making the scene in his younger years KC...my dad was more likely meeting some general in the air force back then.

 

I heard about it on the news today. totally came as a shock to me. I just didnt think hunter would go out that way........ maybe it was all the acid he done in the 60s
