I don't think that "the quality of having a modest or low view of one's importance." I'd rather place Receptiveness :- 1. Having the quality of receiving, taking in, or admitting. 2. Able or quick to receive knowledge, ideas, etc.: a receptive mind. 3. Willing or inclined to receive suggestions, offers, etc., with favor: a receptive listener. 4. Pertaining to reception or receptors: a receptive end organ. 5. (In language learning) of or pertaining to the language skills of listening and reading (opposed to productive ). Higher on my list
i would never think to practice humility . wisdom precedes it ? it seems at certain times wise to dumpster-dive .
I can see false humility as being a vanity, even altruism but I think there can be degrees of humility that can be pure and honest. Humility and Compassion. The rest is distraction.
