It may make no sense to you. But for the average incarerated male watching it on the block box, its all that..
Don't get me wrong, I love da tittiez n a drugz... but that's literally all that it has to offer, yet it has nearly 30million views and is a contender for the song of the year.. Edit: Yes Bilby, cos I can almost understand that. This... this is the universe tearing at the seams. We're all fucked.
Commercialism and yes I agree with the all time low. At least Stalin and Pol Pot committed their atrocities because they had some ideals! :mickey:
2 Chainz is the man, "Let me see you touch it, money talks, you ain't got none, end of discussion" is one of the greatest lines of all time, let alone this year!
hey now, those bandz that make her dance also help put her through college! Therefore that song was clearly written in support of higher education.
My sound is not working this morning, and that's good. What the fuck has happened that people think that that is music?? No, I don't have to even hear it to know it's shit. Black folks used to make very good music and influenced all types of it with outstanding talent. Many still do---but to have foisted rap shit on the public ---and to have people call it music-------fuck that. When Ray Charles was asked if there was any kind of "music" he didn't like---sure enough--he said rap. It's stupid low class bullshit.
I 400% agree with everything, except for the fact that there is some amazing rap out there.. gotta dig for it though
I'm still listening to this.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f0bdLdTJdKI"]Brohers Johnson Strawberry Letter # 23 - YouTube
I think rap might be considered to be street poetry, but I have never thought it was music. I can't stand it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Yeah ok, I can go with that.. but the artists I enjoy have the music behind their poetry. I also find I almost listen to rap, or hip hop, with a different mindset because the style of expression has it's limitations. The vocals are generally more rhythmical than melodic, and fairly constant.. so instead of conveying a general mood or ambience, it generally focuses around a story or point of view coming from the artist him/herself, so in that respect, it's fairly similar to folk.. you do have to give yourself to it a bit more than other genres. Each to his own I guess.. What do you rap haters think about this? Not so much rap, but hip hop.. feel that groooooove. MMM!! You don't get that in other styles of music, not often anyway.. that bassline gets under your skin while the beat just.. glues it together. Usually it's the other way around. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LtZWO3HgRdA"]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LtZWO3HgRdA
I can definitely enjoy some rap/hip hop music but if I had to listen to the radio the last genre I would choose would be rap/hip hop...like most radio the worst of the worst is there whereas the best is never played, but it's so much worse with rap, because it's supposed to be shocking and disgusting...the ones that make it poetic and thought-provoking are rarely ever played and hip hop artists with real musical talent...largely ignored.
money, pussy, power, fame, chase it till your soul is destroyed and you realize how unhappy it made you. We're forced to keep moving though, as evident of our cerebral cortex' infinite looping structure. Not everyone gets to be Lil Wayne though so ya might be better off running the 800 meter first.
