Human remains found by (not at) 50th Gathering site

I was at the gathering. The article says Jacob Cyr was last seen in the area on June 18, but that might be a typo, I had heard it was July 18, after the gathering was over and only the cleanup crew remained.

Oh, and I left the gathering on July 9, so I'm absolved.

 

I checked another article and it confirmed he was last seen on June 18, so he arrived really early. I showed up on June 27 and the whole time I heard nothing about anyone missing. Strange how his disappearance wasn't reported until August, but they may have thought he stayed at the gathering as long as possible, and since there was no cell phone reception there he couldn't have contacted them.

Such a tragedy and it sounds like murder, unless he was attacked by a wild animal. I'd hate to think of a murder at a Rainbow Gathering, but the event does attract some unstable people.
