I mean, that would be ideal, but I don't think I can afford a Guillermo del Toro at the moment.

Hard question to answer, because if money wasn't an issue, I'd move before I'd redecorate.

Anyway, I just adore this kitchen:

Modern amenities, retro feel, nice beach cottage look to it.

In a year or so, I will get my chance again. Going to have a hip guest room, with pool table. Small living room, small bedroom (my perverted side says mirrors!) but comfort mainly. Garage a must, but nothing special. And a CLEAN bathroom. I can't stand yucky bathrooms.

I have always loved the Spanish Colonial / Mediterranean look with tile floors, hand plastered walls and arched doors and windows.
My dream house would be having a 2 story with a large open courtyard in the middle with a pool and Jacuzzi in it. The surrounding rooms around the courtyard would all have large windows on the outside and inside to allow airflow across the courtyard during the summer.

I'm going to be redoing my cabinets soon. I sort of like these unique stains. Leaning towards the red at the moment

I'm not a fan. To me it looks like it would eventually give me a headache.
Like it'd be pretty and fun to look at for a few weeks, and then....headache.
    But that's just me.
    I'm simple, I like neutrals.

Yeah, I'm trying to decide if I agree with you or not. I dont know if I would get sick of it after a few months. I think the blue would depress me after a while, it is pretty dark. The red is pretty but also very bold. I like bold but only in smaller accents. I would have to do the rest of my kitchen very neutral to compensate

I guess it depends on how big your kitchen is, and how much (natural) light there is

I've spent the last I don't know how long trying to find a picture of a warehouse-style loft that I like. This is the closest I've come. I think rafters are probably hard to clean, so I took that into consideration when selecting a picture. Here is a nice loft apartment in London that I think would be neat.

I like the ceiling. And the stove is nice, though I don't cook much.

Yeah. I like that too. It gives the room character. Like the table didn't need to be perfectly smooth. It's pretty cool how that works for the room.

what do you eat if you don't cook much

I find cooking cheaper than eating out

Well, I eat protein shakes, granola bars, unslated mixed nuts, potatoes (cooked in the microwave), peanut butter, cottage cheese, chips, salsa, and Multi-grain Cheerios with nonfat milk. I eat that every day, except when I eat out. It's reasonably healthy stuff for the most part.

Yesterday I went out for Sushi and had some cucumber wrapped eel rolls, cucumber wrapped king crab rolls, and a specialty roll that features caviar, sashimi, and spicy tuna! :) It was yummy, but sadly on the pricey side. Thankfully it was someone else's treat! I also had edamame and peach iced tea.
