How Was The Hippie Life?

What was the hippie lifestyle like? Was it anything like TV portrays the hippie stereotypes? Why walk barefoot?

Just tell me what consists of a normal day as a hippie

 

Eating, drinking, taking a poop. Among other things.

It was total freedom and everyone was just buzzing with aliveness and a sense of adventure. Romance was everywhere. People were REAL. We all lived on the cutting edge. Avant garde. Creating Brand new roads. Art poetry music and love. Your own life the way that you dreamed it would be.

 

It was bitchen. You could never begin to imagine.

 

Being a hippy is nothing like you see on TV

 

What was the goal? I just feel there was all this momentum from the movement and it just stopped. Was it just the man beating you down or was it that everyone got older and more conservative. Not trying to be a dick, but I want to know. Thanks!
