Eye LOL the only person that seems to be propagating anti-white racism is you. I don’t think I’ve ever done it. Also as said the things you linked to don’t come across as ‘hate’ pieces I mean a couple are definitely tongue in cheek, and it should be noted that the person that was stupid enough to post #killallwhitemen was charged by police with sending a threatening communication (although the case was later dropped). The thing is that there doesn’t seem to be equivalence between something that claims black people are less intelligent than whites and the articles you link to and if you want that discussion I’m happy to oblige. As to examples just go to any white supremacist webpage. So let’s see your argument seems to be that ‘some’ of the Alt-right are racists but ALL left wingers are racists. Sorry that’s just crap – anyway so why don’t the anti-racist alt-right throw out the racist alt-right and loudly disavow them, because otherwise they will be tainted by association, I mean if you hang out with racists you are going to be thought of as racist or happy with racism. I don’t think I’ve ever used that phrase, term, whatever – I Googled it and am still confused as to what it means it seems to be a term that has different meanings to different people. What does it mean to you? I mean you repeatedly mention white and whiteness and your identification with it isn’t that identity politics?
Eye You - How is rioting and tearing down black businesses, homes, and neighborhoods a valid form of protest? Me - So EVERY Back Lives Matters event resulted in this? Then you - All the ones that make the headlines and air-time seem to. You then follow this by saying - I believe a lot of the group's supporters are peaceful and well intentioned Before adding - but misinformed if not downright stupid. [my bold] So BLM people are violent – not violent - but probably – stupid Again you seem to be attacking the movement but not asking yourself why the movement has come into being. * LOL – you begin a thread specifically about the Alt-right and one of your points is about not getting offended at alt-right racist etc ‘humour’ saying ‘comedy is meant to push the boundaries of what is acceptable in society’ I asked for an example of such a ‘good’ (and in the context of you defense of the alt-right) racist joke and you brought up a comedian who doesn’t seem to be racist or alt-right are you backing away from what you said? Are you know saying you are against alt-right racist humour? Oh you poor thing But some were racist and deserved to be challenged as such - you seem to be arguing that they should not have been? To repeat calling someone a racist because they were racist and a leave is not saying ALL leavers were racists, I meet leavers, I have family ties to leavers (one is coming to us for Xmas dinner) and not one of those I meet was or is racist - but I know there were racists supporting the leave campaign. But it is not a FACT – it wasn’t used as a blanket term – again this is misdirection I don’t know where you are getting this from can you give me some examples? But that doesn’t mean there are not racists in the world or in UK or US society are you saying those type of people shouldn’t be challenged? What the fuck is a ‘true’ white supremacist? And what bloody pendulum are you talking about, this is bollocks. Again more bollocks - but first - ALL the modern left – really all? You must realise the kind of people making up the alt-right never went away they have been around for years , if you think they have just appeared and only as a result of ‘the left’ then you are incredibly naïve.
Rat Bureaucrats? – I thought it was Lucifer worshipers that you though were behind everything? Or was it the illumanti or lizarads or some such, it was something like that wasn’t it? So The thing is that when people have no real argument against certain types of politics they often resort to this kind of thing Rat has been doing it for years, he hints at controllers in the shadows because he has very little to produce in the light.
Balbus and MeAgain, So lemme get this straight, it's totally OK to paint up the entire alt-right as racist white nationalists because a few white nationalists wanna piggyback on the name to bring themselves into the limelight? But it's NOT OK to paint up Black Lives Matter as a violence advocacy group because only some of its members have killed cops, blocked ambulances, and assaulted random people for being white? Geez, talk about double standards....
From what Bannon and Yianopolous have said about it (post 125) it seems that more than a few white nationalists want to be part of the Alt Right. We could split hairs about how many are Russian nationalists, isolationists, neo-reactionaries, Islamophobes, anti-femminists, etc. Few advocate violence. On the other hand, the bulk of Black Lives Matter members also don't advocate violence, as opposed to militant action. I must admit being a little nervous when I visited Chicago a year ago, went to the grocery store, and found myself inadvertently in the middle of a Black Lives Matter demonstration on the way back. There were about equal numbers of demonstrators, police and media, and fortunately the demonstrators went past the place where was staying, so I could drop off discretely with my groceries. No violence.
If the races were changed in those articles, I'll bet you good money they would be deemed as hate pieces, and would not be dismissed as tongue-in-cheek. I remember when that racial intelligence article took the internet by storm 9 years ago. And I like most people, found it disgusting, and I disagreed with it very much. That's obvious, as white supremacists are the few people on earth who find that kind of thing acceptable to post. But I didn't ask for articles from white supremacist sites (I don't wanna give them any click traffic if I can avoid it). I never said all left wingers were racist. Please follow along. From what I've seen, they actually do. Alt-right people like Stephan Molyneux, Mike Chernovich, Paul Joseph Watson, and other prominent figures in the alt-right have dismissed this Spencer guy and his small band of followers as such. Why doesn't the left disavow the violent thugs in Black Lives Matter? Because otherwise they will be tainted by association. I mean, if you hang out with killers and rioters you're gonna thought of as killer or happy with destroying black communities. I define it as promoting special interest policies for selective groups of people whether it be for race, gender, sexual identity, religion, ethnicity, etc. It's currently OK to advocate for racial minority issues, and establish certain institutions, charities, and organizations based on the interests of those miniorities. It's currently OK to have the same for women, homosexuals, and transgenders. But if you try to set up an institution or organization for the interests of men, the organizations like N.O.W. and their friends at Vox or the Guardian will call you a sexist. If you set up an institution or an organization for whites, reporters from the National Review will call you a racist. That being said, would you rather have identity politics for everybody or nobody? See this is your game you like to play. By planting words like ALL when people you're debating never said "all." I never said ALL black lives matter protestors were like this. When you have large crowds yelling "Pigs in a blanket fry 'em like bacon" or "What do we want? DEAD COPS" and the fact that many are well aware that the ideological figurehead of the group is Asata Shakur, and they don't try to distance themselves from such blatant hatred and violence, that tells me a little bit abou them. In the OP I stated how there are famous comedians who will no longer perform at college campuses because they kept being heckled and language policed by social justice warrior students and kept offending or "triggering" a few special snowflakes. (I wish I would've listed their names in the 1st post), but such comedians include: Jerry Seinfeld, Chris Rock, Larry the Cable Guy, Tosh.0, and Dave Chappelle. As far as I'm aware, none of them are alt right, nor are they blatant political activists. Come to think of it, some of them are quite liberal, and even they are disgusted by what leftism is doing to the youth at universities. I know you know not all leavers and Trump supporters were racist. But did misrepresenting those who supported leave and Donald Trump supporters as racists work in the end? Please for the left's sake, come up with a better strategy in the future. My point was that I wasn't originally gonna vote for Trump or take any sides with the alt-right. I was always an anti-republican libertarian. But then I realized this country has a culture problem full of identity politics, double standards, lying about the wage gap and rape culture to our nation's youth, among a bastion of vile filth that tells us that certain identities must be protected classes and kept in safe spaces. Well fuck that. Trump seemed like an ideal antidote to the problem. Granted, I don't have full confidence in the guy, and I almost half expect him to not live up to what he promises like most politicians. I'm very skeptical of him in a lot of ways. But then you had Hillary Clinton who pandered to this cultural filth and played the woman card the whole way through. Even if the left successfully leads everyone in to believe the alt-right is racist, the alt-right still won't go away; they'll just change their name and keep on going.
Trump couldn't have won without the votes from the same people who voted Obama in previous years. I don't have full confidence in Trump and I don't agree with everything he stands for. I have large degree of uncertainty that he'd help the economy in any way. But one thing that did attract my vote was how he was despised by some of the worst people ever including: George Soros, the Bush Family, Paul Ryan, the Bilderberg Group, Janet Yellen and the Federal Reserve, the Koch Brothers, the Clintons, the Saudi Arabian government, Silicon Valley, the Hollywood Elite, all the teleprompter readers on the mainstream media, and especially the fembots and SJWs. Seeing them all get triggered on election nite alone was totally worth it.
Mostly just the pandering to safe space, censorship, and microagression culture that seems to be on the rise lately. That's complete filth in my opinion.
First let's remember that the game has changed for me. I've learned from the master and all you others posting about being "politically correct" and how bad that is. So I'm working to dump that political correctness thing, as Trump and all his despicable minions suggest. So, yes, I will unequivocally state that all of the alt right, all of its supporters, hanger ons, and piggy bakers...the entire alt right are white supremacists in one form or another, even if they don't admit it to themselves....like their master, Donald Trump. That is the definition of the alt right. As far as BLM...I haven't followed them, so I have no opinion on them.
Let us be sure to give Bannon and others Congressional hearings on their appointment. I think we all missed the boat in not insisting on a Congressional hearing for Valerie Jarret. Not sure what triggers a hearing before the house; but this is the way to set markers and expose agendas. And who really knows, a Congressional hearing may show that Bannon is nowhere near the crazy reputation his detractors post. Twas impressed with Attorney General Loretta Lynch at her hearing last year.
I think we agree on the economy. I don't believe that trickle down economics works necessarily. It would have us place our trust in big corporations to create jobs just because they can. Yes expansion is a motivating factor. I don't trust that though. Just because the capacity for more jobs exists doesn't necessitate hiring. I guess what I'm saying is this approach to job creation misplaces our trust.
I don't think appointment of Bannon requires a hearing, since he'll be one of the President's closest staff advisors in the White House. Hearings are given to the department heads and cabinet officials. And it's only the Senate that's involved.
Now this is some epic trolling right here! "Alt-Right online poison nearly turned me into a racist" https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2016/nov/28/alt-right-online-poison-racist-bigot-sam-harris-milo-yiannopoulos-islamophobia?CMP=share_btn_tw This piece was written and submitted by Godfrey Elfwick, an alt-right troll. I can't believe the Guardian fell for it!
Eye You seem to make general and rather simplistic statements that imply you mean a whole group (all Black Lives Matter supporters are violent, etc) then when pulled up on it you say you don’t mean all only then to then come out with a general and rather simplistic statement that implies you mean all. It makes it very hard and frustrating to have a normal discussion. I’ve said to me the alt-right are just a faction within a group I’d call Nationalist Libertarians it is a faction that has attracted a large number of racists to its banner and has gain notoriety for that, to the point that that has come to define it. I believe without those racists it wouldn’t have got its own identity. As I say I noticed the Nationalist Libertarians as a group at least 11 years ago the only thing that seems to distinguish them from the alt-right is the racism. So to me if you remove the racism the supposed ‘alt-right’ disappears and all you have is Nationalist Libertarians.
Eye If the races were changed in those articles, I'll bet you good money they would be deemed as hate pieces, and would not be dismissed as tongue-in-cheek. As I’ve said I’m happy to have that discussion so let’s take one of those articles at random – When Whites Just Don’t Get It http://www.nytimes.com/2014/08/31/opinion/sunday/nicholas-kristof-after-ferguson-race-deserves-more-attention-not-less.html Can you tell me why you think it is racist and why you would deem it a hate piece. But not everyone – I mean I’ve had it thrown at me several times in discussions by people that see it as ‘fact’ and it still has traction on racist sites, sites that are happy to see themselves as part of the alt-right.
Eye I don’t think I’ve ever avowed any thugs of any race, belief or colour. Isn’t that what you are trying to do for white people? The thing is that such institutions and organisations are usually set up to help what seem to be disadvantaged groups, are you saying you see men and white people in the US as being disadvantaged? There are specific problems involving some racial groups, women, and the LBGT community. What problems do you see as being specific to men and white people? The thing is that such institutions and organisations are usually set up to help what seem to be disadvantaged groups, are you saying you see men and white people in the US as being disadvantaged? Eye You started this thread specifically about the alt-right and one of the things was humour that the alt-right has a right to have its comedy but when asked to produce an example of this alt-right humour you seem unable to and instead give us mainstream comedy figures that you admit are not alt-right. As to student associations at Universities who hire entertainment, the comedians, are you saying you would force them through laws to allow anyone to put on anything including openly racist material? And isn’t this a financial thing it’s what students pay for, I can bemoan someone for lack of taste in what they are willing to pay for and find funny but do I have the right to force them to see stuff they don’t like? And are student associations able to dictate what comedy is put on off their campuses? What lies about the wage gap and rape culture, I mean there are wage gaps between groups and I’ve not heard about any rape culture, what is it supposed to be? What ‘vile filth’ are you talking about? How is throwing your lot in with open racists going to help?
