This is where you will spend eternity, and one place is a fire that will never be quenched. Go over to your stove and turn on the burner. Stick your hand in and leave it there for 10 seconds. I bet you can't. Imagine spending 1000 years there. Imagine spending eternity there. That is like hell, except, hell is much hotter and completely black, all by yourself forever. No one wants to go there. You wouldn't want to go there if you really understood what you were saying. Please, I am not here to be pushy, I am not here to yell or preach at you. Religion is a ritual. Spirituality with God is having a real one on one relationship with God Himself. Christians are able to do something that non-Christians cannot comprehend, that is communicate with God and feel His presence with us. It is so genuine that even though a Christian cannot explain fully how they know that God is with them, the fact is that they know it. God has never left me since I have accepted Him, back when I was 5. Sometimes it feels like He is a million miles away, but He is always with me. When I am close to Him, I can feel His presence very strongly and He even fills me with His Spirit, which gives me a peace that is like no other experience in the world.

 

religion is an institution. As such, it can be a lot easier to manipulate, and has a higher chance of getting caught up in politics and power (re history of the Christian church, a lot of horrible things were done because religion said it was ok. Not just Christianity though)

spirituality is what you feel, your connection to what is divine, however you define that to be. It comes from within, it's not told to you, no one gives you rules to follow or schedules of faith and worship.
