i personaly wouldnt accept Christ based on the fact that he uses the devil as a means by which to scare people into loving him.

 

because jesus was a man who taught many things about how we should be nicer to each other, and was put to death because of all of the dogmatic superstitions that surrounded him and how they conflicted with the dogmatic superstitions that others beleived in. infact, he may not even have been a man, but a character in a peice of fiction. It doesnt really matter. His message is what matters, and is all that should be taken from the writings about him. The same could be said about any other religion. They all have some positive messages.

Its when you start accepting the dogmatic superstitious bullshit when you start getting in trouble. When you begin accepting the dogma of the religion, you begin to lose light of the message that is presented. Sure you have love and respect for others, but it seems that love and respect only truely applies to those which share the same dogmatic beleifs as you. There is nothing wrong with accepting the messages that jesus has presented, but when you start accepting all the superstitions surrounding him it seems that you start harbouring intolerance as well

Even if she was to say the prayer, she would simply be asking for forgiveness. Repentance is a baby step in faith. It is one small step towards salvation.

I have been exposed to several different religious schools and churches in my life. I have been taught all about their, "ideas". That is simply all they are... ideas. I have prayed the, "prayer of salvation", many times in my life. Chains were never broken, I was never healed. Until I experienced the real salvation Christ spoke of in John 3:5, I was merely clinging onto the belief of what man considers salvation.

I find it very sad that this false message of salvation is being spread in so many churches.

 

What I find difficult to understand, or comprehend, is how Frodo can preach to become saved, and then with another pseudonym on these forums, tell people to eat hallucenogenic mushrooms ???

I dont believe in the money-hungry church or in some god that only saves certain people. I believe in nature, and the Universe. Things i can actually see and experience myself. If others want to believe the same thing, great and if they dont thats ok too. Theyere not "going to hell" for not doing so.

 

Look Goat man you say that God only saves certain people. He only saves those who want to be saved. He will save anyone. He gave you the choice to believe that nature is your god or that He is your God. The bible says that you will have to pay for your own sins if you don't trust in what Jesus Christ did for you on the cross to pay for your sins. The choice is yours but don't say that He only wants to save certain people because that isn't true. He wants to save everyone, including you.

Why does GOD need to save us? did he fuck up "in the beginning"? and if god knows how each and every one of us will live our lives, then there is no choice involved.
do you think God will save the Muslims? They want to be saved as well, but they dont praise the name God.

 

First of all God didn't mess up, we did. We disobeyed God and now we live with this curse. Adam and Eve were in the garden of eden, all was well with God. There was no pain nor suffering. God told them not to eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil and she disobeyed Him and her husband also disobeyed Him. Because of that, all of the pain and suffering entered into the world. Because of that, we all sin against God. Because of that wel are all doomed to go to hell. But God sent His Son Jesus Christ to come and live a perfect life and die for us and raise from the dead, so that whoever will accept what Jesus did to pay for their sins, will be forgiven. Whoever doesn't has to pay for their own sins by going to hell. God died for the muslims also. It doesn't matter what religion you come from, God will save you if you accept Jesus Christ as your Savior. All who don't will go to hell. There are millions of people who go to church every week, do good deeds, were baptized, give to the poor, who will not get to heaven because they haven't accepted what Jesus Christ did for them on the cross. We are all sinners and no matter what good things we do, we are still sinners. Just as if you commit a crime and then become a law abiding citizen, you will still go to jail for that crime in the past. That is how sin is. We can't be good enough because we are already sinners and are in need of a Savior. Just as the president of the United States can give you a pardon for your crimes so that you won't go to jail, Jesus Christ can give you a pardon for your sins so that you won't go to hell. All you have to do is accept that pardon. If you don't accept it, you will have to pay for your own sins. Will you accept that today? Pray that prayer in the begginning of this post.

 

I'm not interested in your help, If you want to accept christ as my saviour and everyone elses go ahead, I know you mean well and its actually quite sweet and cute, but I repeat i'm not interested.

Actually, I know about witchcraft. I know that it makes people feel powerful. I also know where the power comes from. It comes from demons, which are fallen angels. They want nothing more that to destroy you. They give power to people to make them "feel" good so that they will die and go to hell without Jesus Christ. I also know that my God is more powerful. I deal with demons on a daily basis, so I do know what I am talking about. I know missionaries who have cast demons out of people who use witchcraft and they said that the people must take off the charms. By keeping them on, you are inviting the devil to possess you. You have been warned. I only tell you this to help you. Maybe one day you will remember what I have said to you. Ultimately the choice is yours, but just remember this:

There is a way out and it is through Jesus Christ alone. Any other way won't get you out. If you ever change your mind, call out to Jesus Christ and ask Him to save you and help you.

Ya whatever. I don't really want to know about it. I already know all I need to know about it. I know that it is all evil, and I know that my God is more powerful than the evil behind all witchcraft. Why serve the inferior? Why serve the loser? Why not serve the winner? Why not serve the one who loves you and will prevail in the spritual struggle in the end and judge everyone? I don't understand. I truly cannot understand why anyone would want to be on the losing side, with a god that hates them and wants them to burn in hell with him.

 

You know that sort of attitude killed thousands of women from pope innocent viii up through salem, yeah the bible says witches are bad, but so many people (especially innocent viii) are stupid sons of bitches and go killing every woman, man and black cat they can find, in the 50's and 60's hundreds of peoples lives were ruined because nixon, mccarren, mccarthy and Billy freakin graham screamed godless commie liberal, and you don't become christian because you want to be on the winning side, you become christian for a whole host of other reasons but winning side is certainly least among them, chech back revelations and look at the martyrs because they aren't enjoying even their time in heaven and a great many of them died in awful manners.
