Wrong. There are communities throughout the world and the US that have well balanced students, with no religion in the class. My school in England had no religion in the class and we had no problems like that.

The problem you discribe, is far more complicated than you think. These "lost" students are having problems because they have no balance. In America we live in an extremely materialistic society, reinforced by advertising, the music industry, pop stars, sport stars, and even our government. Even your mainstream christianity would rather focus the blame on abortionists and gays, than to lead a crusade against the "evils of unrestrained capitalism".
Then, mix that pressure on the youth with the fact that the only spritual understanding they are exposed to, is dogmatic, controlling and makes no sense. Just look at the post by MagicMedicine. Religion turns so many people off so badly that some may turn to the opposite extreme.
Those that call themselves Satanists, are the by-products of religious dogma and a lack of natural spiritualism (love) in their lives. Often because their parents were either not around, to busy chasing material persuits, or too busy kissing ass to an ancient hebrew made up god (as my sister and her husband do).

When you say, people who are completely void of a spirituality with miserable and chaotic lives are that way because they aren't christians, that's like saying people who are dieing of thirst are that way because they don't drink CocaCola. All they need is (natural) water. If I was dieing of thirst and there was nothing but Coke to offer, I'd drink it too. Although the additives (dogma) might not be so good for me.

Hmm, let's see. They took God out of the schools and now kids are shooting each other. In the 1800's the kids used to take their guns to school. It was common. How many school shootings were there then? None because they followed the way of the Lord. Your flawed analogy of coca-cola is off base. It is NOT like saying that those who don't drink coca-cola will die of thirst, it is like saying those who don't drink water will die of thirst. We need water to live, just like we need the word of God to live by. They put sex ed in the schools and within a year or two teen pregnancy skyrocketed.

Why does your God make people gay then, if he knows its irreversable. Why did God damn the Jews? If God is all knowing, he must have known that Jesus would pull out the Jewish beliefs by the roots. Yet birth is natural. There is no option, no choice, no alternative. It is clearly "God's way". And so is death. No other way out of here try though you might.
