So up until about 2 years ago when my feet were always trapped in shoes 24/7, to now being barefoot whenever home, ive noticed that my pinky toes finally have nails growing in. My entire life my pinky toes just seemed like there was barely any nail there at all. It seems theyve grown in completely, but have a very thick cuticle on top still, and it seems they are growing any further to wear they would need cut like the other 8? Is there a way to fix this? When I was talking to a foot and ankle specialists for a different issue, i did bring it up since he was down there looking at my feet anyway which felt uncomfortable because i am still insecure about them. He said the only thing he could do was remove the nail completely off the toe and all that would show is the nail bed, which still looks like a nail.
I am trying to see if theres a natural fix for this because although its not a fungus or crumbily, it has that look to them and I feel embarassed about them. I am glad they look way better now though vs 2 years ago though. I guess time heals all wounds? Unless I am in boots at work which i have no choice due to being in the army, i now only wear my Vivos. My feet have massively improved there. They no longer hurt, toes splay wide now, and the pinky toenails are coming along but yea just looking to see if there is actual fix for it other than just being barefoot and time taking its course, which seems like forever. But I am aware I am undoing years and years of basically foot torture but cramming them in designer shoes lol.
Thanks in advance yall have a good one.

I'm sorry but I don't understand the problem. You're nails are growing in and will need to be trimmed like the other 8. What is the issue?

I have no fix but I think you don't need to be nervous. No reason at all. Then maybe with time it will get straight. To be honest my pinky toe nails were an ingrown mess too. I look at my feet right now and the nails look like the others. Your post made me realize it... because honestly I don't give half a rancid solitary shit about how my nails look like :D

well, you know, those things that are expected just because. like wearing shoes at all times. or *not* wearing a beach costume while doing jury duty. or *not* wearing a pajamas while teaching at the university (see Alan Turing) . A good example of a place full of unwritten rules is Japan where people for instance frowns at the sight of a person so disrespectful and ill mannered to... dare chewing on food while walking. That kind of behavior that does not infringe on any law, nor creates danger or damage for anyone but that attracts judgement and hostility. Etiquette, religion, conformism are the sources of this elusive code.

the jury duty example was probably wrong - there may well be written rules about how people is supposed to be dressed, yet i see space to behave in a way that would make people angry even while formally following the rules.
Think of Jerry Rubin. He was summoned there times by the mcCarthy commission. The firs time he appeared in a Revolutionary War period minuteman uniform. The second, as a guerrilla man with bare chest, painted face and nipples, barefoot and with a toy rifle. The third time as Santa Claus... was arrested for contempt :D
