i can almost completely agree... except its more with my family. both my parents are into the "hippy" lifestyle but never wanted their kids to be, well guess what? it happened, and everyday i hear about how i dont wear shoes, how i dont brush my hair, and how the 60's ended 40 years ago and they havent come back. they tell me that its just a phase and that i'll grow out of it, (ive been like this for basically my entire life) its a very hypocritical thing that they do...

but to help you with your situation i would say that try telling that this is the way that you are and if they cant accept it then thats fine, but dont judge you for things that you believe because you would never judge them.

    good luck!

    mabe this will help....
i was in a store once puchasing some papers, there was a lady in line ahead of me, we all know the type, fancy suit, gold and diamonds everywhere, hair sprayed to the moon, i on the other hand was in my ratty old phish t-shirt and plaid shorts, hairy legs and all! she gave me the dirtiest look....so i gave her the same look back, like she was the scum of the earth not me, i didnt mean it but it was for effect. well she was horror struck, as if any one would ever judge her...i then smiled and said "its a beautiful day isnt it?" well then she really lost it...and the clerk nearly died laughing. we are all people and deserve respect. so if someone wants to give you grief, its on them, they must be pretty insecure to use judgement of another person to base thier own self worth on. and thats exactly what they are doing so have pity on those poor souls, and be happy and be pure in yourself! mabe your light can help illuminate thier darkness.

    Wow little me!

The way you're able to express yourself is so awsome.
In a few words you painted a picture that made me feel a part of your life.
You've got a lot of talent, but a harsh road ahead.

that actually did help! thanx!!!!!! I'm proud to be who I am, but it's hard when everyone is always looking down on you. I've had to put up with that since I was really young, and ended up with a really low self esteem because of it. I never knew how to stand up for myself. I really want to be able to now, but I have no clue what to say. But that story really helped. It also helps alot knowing that there's other people like me out there, and therefore I know that it's not just me who I have to stand up for. If I stand there with my tail between my legs, so to speak, I'm making eveyone look bad.
    and thanx m6m.....:)

Teeny, there are loads of guys out there who will love you as you are-your outlook on life, dreds, hairy legs-the whole real you! Your current guy doesn't sound good for you, even if he is to be father of your child-he obviously wasn't put off by your appearance to bed you!

i can understand as im sure a lot of people with conservative parents would
im constantly being told ill amount to nothing from my family
they consider me a loafer and always crush any ideas i have about anything
and they always think about the negative aspects of things
but you just gotta do what is right for you
